what would he develop? a bike which is v competitive ...why would he have to revert to 2010 setup if he could develop bike by himself and has inputs on how the bike should be for Mugello...Originally posted by TenHut View Post

Yea
I dunno what 's he gonna develop the already race ready bike.(All credits to Rossi and Edwards)...
I am waiting to see him develop the next years bike...... He's a gud rider, but cant compare him to the experienced Vale or Edwards in terms of development.
And yea, Rossi 's move to Yammies from the HRC was brave indeed. Unlike the Moaner, he did go for a team wid stronger bike. He earn a bit of respect if he rode a Gixxer,

(my view :P)
Even if we forget the development of the bike, for now, Look at the way Rossi rode in the WUP at Assen, he gives his best.
Hope his bike is better in Sachenring, (it would be according to his long time friend ,Uccio )Ernest Hemingway

And one could say Rossi had to stretch himself so far and push the bike to its limits BECAUSE of the competition being dished out by Jorge.Originally posted by worrisomebear View Postwhat would he develop? a bike which is v competitive ...why would he have to revert to 2010 setup if he could develop bike by himself and has inputs on how the bike should be for Mugello...

And the bike is not reverted back to 2010 setup..just a few things have been redone to what were in 2010 ! And that too is a part of developing a bike..knowing when to do and what to do is a part of it all. Do not forget the roots where these Spanish riders come from..the guy was dominating the leagues he came from and has been a front runner ever since. I think while criticizing a motogp rider who is light years ahead of us one should exercise some restraint and meditate on the points being raised before one raises them. The technology at their level is changing at a breathtaking speed so no bike developed last year or so is competitive this year in an x to x mapping. Heck yesterdays bike is rendered old for tomorrows race at their level.
What I also dislike is how we all tend to judge a rider by their attitude and the way they celebrate ! They lad is half the age we are and he is winning a GP championship. He has his own ways to celebrate that. Everybody have their own ways to live their lives. If all were like Rossi or Augustini the world would be a boring place. Do you know of the small things we all do in our miniature lives that annoy others ? Would you be liked to judged at that ?
A rider should be judged for his riding..his fierce competitive nature. Why ? Because thats his profession..his personal life shouldnt really be of any interest to anyone.Last edited by TenHut; 07-04-2011, 08:43 PM.sigpic

Rossi-Lorenzo debate/battle was at its limit when rossi had a (freak) accident.
This year ,its a different story.
Rossi moves to Ducati with his injury(not an excuse as he fought for 3rd place at Motegi with the championship leader
). Plus he arrives at Ducati, which Stoner has screwed up in the name of development.(2007 -10 wins, 2008- 6 wins, 2009-4 wins, 2010- 3 wins,LOL, Gradually the wins decreased)
This is my point of view....
Lorenzo topic now.... PRCs are like crap.Seems like begging ppl to cheer for him. Very good rider, I remember one race he started from the back, guess it was in Malaysia in 2009 and he finished 4th.
But I would count him in the 'people not able to handle success' category
Hope Dovi has good battle wid him(those 250 cc battles )Ernest Hemingway

What are fans for? They love the riders not only for the results but also for their attitude, their show off, their gesture towards the fan, the way they celebrate, the way they include fans in their celebrations. If it was only for races, Motogp would have been a lot boring. Its just not what is on the track but much more than that, and all those things makes it exciting. What Jorge does off the track or winning after the race will be observed by others, bcoz he does for them, bcoz that is still in the world of Motogp. What he does in his private life should be left private.Originally posted by TenHut View PostWhat I also dislike is how we all tend to judge a rider by their attitude and the way they celebrate ! Ya that was Sepang 2009. Fully wet race, similar to Silverstone this year, though not that tough. I think Rossi started from 1st row and Lorenzo had to start from back bcoz of some problem with the bike and he arrived at the grid late. In the very first lap Rossi moved down and Lorenzo came in front of him, but Rossi still finished ahead of him and became the champion (second last time atleast, I hope).Originally posted by Braumabull View PostVery good rider, I remember one race he started from the back, guess it was in Malaysia in 2009 and he finished 4th.

You cant blame stoner for not developing Ducati well. Ducati is too adamant with everything.
With the legendary Rossi ( and a legend he truly is) and his whole team behind it the bike still cant be sorted. Which makes me realise one thing...Stoner (altho a cry baby in my eyes) wasnt all that at fault as I previously thought he were when crashing the red bike and crying front end issues. Rossi and Jeremy both had said that they would take 2 mins or so to fix the front end issue. Well its still not sorted. The second thing I realised due to rossi's switch to ducati is that Nicky Hayden is one helluva rider. He needs some credit to be riding that ducati the way he does.
I never discussed MotoGP on some forums because of Rossi fanboyism. They instantly shoot you down if you say a word against him and i aint even saying anything against him. I thought i saw none here so had started posting. I shall stop it if this is a rossi party place too

Guess, this is the case everywhere.Rossi has earned so much name, respect and following that at some times it becomes all boring to see 46-46 or The Doctor-The Doctor everywhere. Also, post every race everyone talks about the Ducati and its problems. As if MotoGP podium is meant only for Rossi and his Ducati..Rossi is truely a legend but he can't just outperform everyone everytime..There are lows and highs in every sport. All greats go through bad times..be it Federer,Schumacher,Ronaldo or Rossi..So,expecting Rossi's bike to just fly in a week's time is too much. And what is to be done/not be done, there's no point discussing that.I don't think Rossi/Burgess come here to check what we guys have to say..Originally posted by TenHut View PostYou cant blame stoner for not developing Ducati well. There are only 4 riders and one bike(Ducati) we talk about here..Rossi because everyone loves him.Lorenzo and Stoner-because they cry a lot and talk shit about Rossi..And Simoncelli, because he's the one who can beat/crash Stoner or Lorenzo down..
Okay, how many of us watch Motogp and support anyone else other than Rossi? :PLast edited by shivank; 07-05-2011, 12:53 AM.If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

Red Mist moment at Mugello test
after yesterday's race... i'm supporting Lorenzo (ONLY for the rest of the year.Originally posted by shivank View PostOkay, how many of us watch Motogp and support anyone else other than Rossi? :P

Karel Abraham vs Casey Stoner - Red mist moment at Mugello test.
Red Mist... should be Stoner's line of cologne for 2012.
Stoner must have be like... KA, this ain't your daddy's track son.the Repsol Honda rider bashed fairings with Abraham during an overtaking maneuver,
because the Czech rider was waiting for him, trying to leech a tow. SOURCE
case in point... exactly why VR left his helmet on when he went to apologize to Stoner after Jerez.

I thought we talk about racing here :P
CRT teams:
Mika Kallio – Marc VDS Racing Team – Suter MVDS BMW Moto1 – + 6.342
so how interesting will the 2012 race be, The factories battling for the win, the backmakers having their own race. when the front runners lap the back makers it might give a twist to the race :PLast edited by prabhubravo; 07-05-2011, 07:40 AM.
