Then why did the bugger left Yamaha? Got your point, thanks.

That's the steepest fall I have ever seen in motorsports! Rossi has even bettered Schumacher on this one.
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

        Interesting quote from motomatters tweets:

In my opinion, Ducati and Rossi will not improve until they ditch the 90 deg V4, with the forward cylinders. Weight distribution all wrong
Hmm chassis was already wrong. Now the engine layout too? Makes me wonder what else is left Steal a honda (which is also a v4), even a satellite one would work, and rename it GP11.2

        • Yea, Bravo Stoner for Taming the Honda, a really Wild beast that strongest person like Pedrosa can ride and win races. Whatta Joke...

Give Rossi the bike he wants to and then speak.
GP 11.1's a new bike and Rossi's got the bike on the track without even testing.(Keeping in mind he was injured when he switched)....
Dont even get started on the riding styles. Havent anyone seen powerslides on the Repsol honda and Yamahas?? Fights with Sete in 2005??

Give them sometime to figure things out. Good work by hayden, but trust me, he starts fighting at the front, he's gonna crash. Remember 2006, he 's a good racer but cant compare him to Rossi..
What else to say... I dont want it to be all talks...... So I wait

          He's Not last yet

How amazing is one rider when the start list is
              1. Stoner
              2. Pedrosa
              3. Lorenzo
              4. Simoncelli
              5. Spies
all very exciting riders and all the comment is about the rider who will start from 16th position and 2nd last.

Love him or hate him vale is still the man in motogp
I felt like praying for him this time. C'mon Vale.

              • I might draw a lot of flak with this post but then that's OK as long as people take it in the right spirit.

As much as I love Rossi, a saying by Kenny Roberts keep ringing in my mind when I see Rossi (especially this year). The great KR once said, "When you are in this sport for 10 years or so, something gets used up!".

Is Rossi beginning to fade (I would love to believe 'No')?
Has the competition caught up with Rossi; skill and talent-wise?\
Of late, Rossi has been playing a lot of verbal games in interviews/blogs etc...why does he have to do it? He used to be good at psyching out his rivals on the track...
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

                  • Point - 5

                    Point - 4 - Rider Qualified : Pole

                    Point - 1,2,3 - 9WC ( one million Euro / Race ) Rider Qualified : Last but one.

Don't blame Stoner for this. It's Rossi who got into this mess, due to his greed & ego. Inspite of all this, Sad to see a legend struggle like this. Hope good things come by.

Nothing is for ever. What yours today is some one else's tommorow - B.G

With time CS, DP, JL etc will all have to go through the same fate. Only the wise know when to stop/retire when they are @ the top of their game.

                    Cheers - TZ750.

                      how would you explain this.

Crashes at Mugello. Misses 4 races. Then podiums in 7 out of 11 races.

                      Ducati 2012: 8 races. 1 podium

do ya still think he's beginning to fade?

that's pretty sudden isn't it? fades are usually gradual.

                        +1 to the bold part.
Live Example: It's just too sad to see the VR counterpart in F1 (MS) finishing so bad..

                          • @recent posts suggesting whether Rossi's fading or not. I will keep it short and simple...

...all this speculation about Rossi's lack of performance on Ducati is no doubt due to the all Italian combination. People expected a repeat of 2004 when Rossi switched to Yamaha, but certainly things are different with Ducati.

RELAX...it's the man's first year with Ducati and it's unfair on him to expect results similar to 2004 mainly because Ducati is a different beast right from the chassis to the engine (we have gone through this uncountable times). Yes, his latest grid position is terrible, no doubt...but I am loyalist Let the next year come with 1000cc, and then we'll see who's who. His results aren't impressive this year. But again, let the next year come, he is far from being down and out - anybody who think like this is an idiot!

one word... or is it two ... the bike.

looks at his stats after his crash at mugello.

they're not exactly indicative of someone who's come back from his leg being snapped in two.

he still did well on the Yammie till the end of the 2010 season.

that's the only reason why i don't say yea to the "fade" theory.

why would someone who's "consumed" with what they do retire?

change tactics... hmmmm.. that's an option.
