time for some good news....

The International Federation for Motocycles (FIM) has approved a grant of over $100,000 for training Sarath Kumar, the first Indian rider in the MotoGP in the 125cc category, and also for inviting foreign coaches to assist Indian Supercross and Motocross riders.

hope this money is utilized properly(not lost in corruption and all).

And Stoner did post a 1'47 lap in yesterday's test...

Gentlemen, that CF frame is a ***** and VR & JB are having a hard time working around it.

The truth is Casey could ride a handicapped machine fighting it over and in the course, either winning or binning it. The bike needs work and its being worked upon, it may take time or may not work at all and they might have to start work all over again.

The talks are on about going magnesium way or revert back to aluminium, time shall tell.

@tenhut - I sincerely hope Nicky's talent to shine in '12. With 1000's coming in, he will be on a level field.

Psstt all these talks and Ducati is shining at WSBK w/o factory support.

Why would anyone talk other riders besides the top riders? I can sure talk about Casey's wife and how her muscles are disappearing or Playboy mates, but we aren't allowed to discuss that.

And the bike is not reverted back to 2010 setup..just a few things have been redone to what were in 2010 ! And that too is a part of developing a bike..knowing when to do and what to do is a part of it all. Do not forget the roots where these Spanish riders come from..the guy was dominating the leagues he came from and has been a front runner ever since. I think while criticizing a motogp rider who is light years ahead of us one should exercise some restraint and meditate on the points being raised before one raises them. The technology at their level is changing at a breathtaking speed so no bike developed last year or so is competitive this year in an x to x mapping. Heck yesterdays bike is rendered old for tomorrows race at their level.
What I also dislike is how we all tend to judge a rider by their attitude and the way they celebrate ! They lad is half the age we are and he is winning a GP championship. He has his own ways to celebrate that. Everybody have their own ways to live their lives. If all were like Rossi or Augustini the world would be a boring place. Do you know of the small things we all do in our miniature lives that annoy others ? Would you be liked to judged at that ?
A rider should be judged for his riding..his fierce competitive nature. Why ? Because thats his profession..his personal life shouldnt really be of any interest to anyone.

One unnamed team is rumored to have got a hold of software that can analyze the sound of a MotoGP bike and calculate the bore, stroke, and firing order of the engine being used. That this is possible is well known - back at the beginning of the 990 era, a Spanish magazine asked a local university to do just that, and the tools to do so have moved on immensely in the past 10 years. Whether the rumor is true is another thing altogether, but true or not, the only 1000 lapping the track with the BMW-powered Suter, being run by the Marc VDS team.
