  • Required some info on the Chennai Track

    Hi all,

Is the track in chennai the only one of its kind in the south?

Would any one be kind enough to post some info on the track?

Planning to move down to Blr.

Doing a bit of home work.

    Thanks.

kari is a fantastic track i have been their on track days.lots of fun.its a very tight track lots of lean angle so u gotta be brave.nothing like seeing dilip rogers ride there awsome, awsome.its one thing to be fast on a wide track but kari is so tight.the back straight and the main straight are so close.may god bless the late karivardan.mmst is responsibe for putting me in a coma and dislocating my big toe, normally we only use the short loop.(god only knows why)i guess cause the big boys say so.one can carry lots of speed there .be aware of te snakes dont wander of into the woods.if one lines up right for the last cornes its possible to carry a lot of speed into the main straight, fun fun,fun.....goodwilling ill be there for the december track day

Thanks for the info guys but got more questions.

How often are track days held. Didn't find any such info on the web site.

When held, is it organized or just a casual open to all type of event?

                    Thankyou shipwrek,
Dec might be too early for me. I'll only have my bike down by late Jan.

Now gotta find a way to transport the Bike from BLR to MAA.

It'll cost you about Rs.400/- per bike for a session at the track, and bring in any bike to ride around the track, you can use the track till 2-3pm in the a'noon (atleast that's how long i was when i went with my bike), i think after that you might see the superbikes ripping about after that
