not a wise thing to do actually. getting a bike on a pick up van/truck would be better in case you hit the tarmac. you surely wouldn't want to ride back home on a totalled/damaged bike.

            Hello Krisdaz,

            Answers to your questions -

            1. Track Day - all sundays (except race weekends) are pay and practice days at the MMSC Race Track (Chennai One) basically you can come down pay a fee Rs400 per session (1/2 day) towards track rental and go for it, but remember, the only support you have is the what you bring with you, ie there is no support or life safety track side, no marshalls. If there a lot of bike, we break into 30 mins session basically many of the smaller bikes < 150cc practise on the short loop (half track) and 30 mins of the full track. After 2:30PM the cars and other 4 wheelers start to test.

            2. Transportation of Bike to the track from Blr are mainly done via trucks, most of the bikes that are on the track are not street legal, basically you need to provide your own tie downs, and generally 4 to 5 bikes share a truck, this gives you the oppertunity to also put your gas, tool, etc.. into the truck and also share the cost of the transport.

            3. There are also exclusive testing sessions available from the track which cost around Rs20,000 per day ( i could be wrong ).

            4. A few race team have their own pits at the track and if you are looking at racing / testing seriously, the best thing to do is to tie up with one of these teams and they will look after your bike saving you about 3K a weekend on transport.

            5. Hotel, there are a few hotels in close proiximity to the track one of them is the Pleasent Days - || PLEASANT DAYS-THE FINEST FAMILY RESORT || generally where everyone hangs after the day, there are cheaper options avaialble.

            6. We are testing every week (lots of bike going down) as the season begins in a few weeks, so if you wanna go down get in touch with killer or me

            See you soon track side...

There is a championship called the UCAL Rolon National Road Racing Championship. Get in touch with pramodchandhok@yahoo.co.in he should be able to advise you on the classes. I quite sure that they have a class for the 180s. It should cost you under rs 2000 for the racing formalities ( License, Entry Fees, etc ) then the rest is up to you. I guess with about 6 k you should be able to do a round of racing, then again how much you spend on your bike is up to you...

What time we can come on racetrack in the morning (Sunday)? It is finish at 2h30pm, but what about start time?
People also driving (racing) around 12h ? Is not too hot for engine (in racing condition)?

First practicing day on Sunday 26th April.

I am using my mp3 player with one sound recorder function for getting my laps time. The recorder is in my tank bag, and i hit the bag when crossing end line... I have started to turn in 2m54s per lap (full track) at the end of half day (37 laps after) i turned in 2m40s (Pulsar 150cc).

Track director said me there is one magnetic laptimers system. But i don't know where to get recording system to put on my bike (in India).
I know one brand because famous in France, that is Alfano Alfano data acquisition .
There is something similar here ? or need to get that from foreign?

Somebody know where i can see laps time from other people ? Like i saw somewhere in this forum, RTR FI and R15 (factory) can do it in 2m05s (full track) ...

2:05's are for (group b) full blown Apache's and 2:02 for full blown R15's. Best time for stock R15 on full track is 2:15
