  • Irrespective of where Stoner finishes, Dani only stands a chance if he finishes ahead of Lorenzo today.

Even then it is a long shot, as Lorenzo will have to crash out or finish 6th or worse for Dani to take the title. Maybe Pedrosa should pay Barbera or Bautista to use their 'crashing' skills

I remember hearing, if the gap is less than 26 points when they head to valencia, Dani has a shot at the title

Somebody please persuade Stoner to stay back in MotoGP....He is the best rider I have seen after Rossi. Straight from the injury and he is flying already.

As long as Lorenzo makes a podium finish, irrespective of the position, Dani doesn't have a shot at the title!!

Lets wait to see the results of Philip Island I guess the results will be more similar...

          Lorenzo

This year Motogp title will go on wire till Valencia...
Actually, Honda were strong from the word go. All that prevented Honda from doing what they are doing right now is the chatter which affected the performance of Casey and to some extent Dani in the first half of the season. The new front tyre which was controversially introduced suited the handling characteristics of the Yamaha while the Honda suffered chatter.
Yamaha and the ever consistent Jorge capitalized on this till Honda got their act together. If one remembers, Honda were using a well flogged engine at Mugello while the Yamaha had a new engine. Both the bikes were doing similar top speeds.

Whatever happens, in my opinion, both Jorge and Dani have fought really well this year. It's a shame that Casey had to miss a lot of races due to injury else it could have been a triple dash for the crown.
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Yes exactly. If the gap is 25 or less, then Dani has a mathematical chance of winning the title. But for that to happen, Lorenzo will have to crash out and Pedrosa will have to win. Possible but not probable.

That statement of yours is debatable!!!

            • If Stoner finishes 1st, Dani 2nd and Lorenzo 3rd. Situation would be like WC 2006. Yamaha Rider leading with 18(or 19) points going to Valencia.
It would be interesting to see Stoner helping dani out or the other Honda riders coming in between Lorenzo and Dani.

Both Lorenzo and Dani have done absolutely brilliant this year, Sad there's be place for only one #1

And About Lorenzo engine issue, the team have changed their strategy and managed it well. He would hold up, if the title has to be decided in Valencia.
              Would be exciting Sunday

              • Looks like Stoner is gonna run away with it.

Turn 3 of the Philip Island track has been renamed Stoner Corner. In college stoner corner was the place where all the 'grass' boys would meet up!!!

The Ducatis are doing horribly on this track. Even the ARTs are faster. Ridiculous.

Rossi must just be waiting for the season to get over and get back on the yammie....

                • Pedrosa out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Was it due to pressure from Stoner???
I think Dani tried to correct himself as he was wide on the corner, and block Stoner who was right behind him...
                  Bad luck to him!!

                  • Pressure from Lorenzo. Pedrosa couldn't handle the pressure crashed on his own, without any help from Bautista or Barbera

A well deserved championship for Lorenzo, what a fantastic season he has had. Amazing stuff.

Yes, lorenzo did put some pressure, but before the crash, the Standing was - Dani 1st; Casey 2nd; and Jorge 3rd.
In fact in that particular corner, Dani, was in the middle of the track, while Casey was storming in from his right.
I think, Dani realizing the mistake, leaned some more to block Casey, and that's what proved futile for him.

But, ya Lorenzo was great throughout the season. Would have loved if Casey competed in the next season, with Rossi coming back to Yam.

Great battle for 4th aint it . Dovi is so good on M1.

Sad to see Pedrosa crash. This year he was awsome, plus injury free.
                        Congrats Lorenzo!!!

Next year with Marques in HRC, times wud be tuff for Ped. They would have 2 Spanish riders, and they would need one to keep their sponsors happy.
Hope to Pedrosa fights next year again.

Rossi, still not sure after seeing Ben Spies this year. Cant be sure at-least till the test in Valencia.

                          • I meant Rossi can also "runs" through the same badluck Spies been this year. Ya know wat I mean.

Its like someone didnt want him to do well this year. Just saying, not that its true

                              • @ Shibadib the mark of a champion. riding under pressure to come 2nd in every race, even with his championship lead under threat from a charging Pedrosa. Pedrosa on the other hand cracked under the pressure of having to win the next two races. Thats what I meant by Lorenzo putting pressure on Pedrosa, not in that particular corner, but with his consistency throughout the season.

I am just hoping Rossi doesn't injure himself next year on the M1, trying to pace Dani and Jorge.
