How ironic, I'm watching videos on youtube of and about the greatest cricketer of all time and then I read your such, what shall we call it, hmmm "pathetic" comment on one of my fav forum.
Its great that you posted such thing over here and nobody would bother much.

^ Like & endorse your view.

Unfortunately, people who cannot even achieve 1 millionth of the "pathetic" person's achievements will bark...our typical way of showing respect!

We all, keyboard warriors, daily commuters, occasional racers with skills worth a big zero keep on speculating and take pleasure in taking pot shots. We all know about what a particular racer should have done in a particular situation..makes me wonder why we are still here!

Guys...give them respect! the people that you talk of are champions..even the one who finishes last has enough skills to smoke you a billion times out of billion.

If you guys like SRT. Good. I have no issues with that. I don't! Neither do I expect anyone to 'like' or 'endorse' my views.

If you read (maybe due to paucity of time, you couldn't) what I wrote, I said please do not compare him with bike racers. Those guys risk their lives every moment on track. Neither did I call anyone a pathetic 'person'. Very big difference between what I said and what you are inferring.

And I have never spoken badly about any rider, first or last. So again, please do not put words in my mouth.

PS - To express my respect to not only every sportsman, but also to every member (and their views), I shall delete that post.
Don't want to start anything over here and would rather be happy if it ends here.
Dude, you called him pathetic cricketer, that's really preposterous. He is the face of his profession, not only in the India but in the world.
Cricket is not dangerous as Motogp but that doesnt mean you should think of SRT as low when compared to motogp riders. He has played for his country, he has made the nation proud, he has won the World cup for the nation, he has done lot of sacrifices, what else can you ask for?
SRT is the GOAT of cricket, we all considered Rossi to be the GOAT of motogp but these days he is getting beaten up by other riders. I just wish Rossi has a career like SRT's, want to see him on top one again.

            Just FYI,
            Sachin's "200" was his "46th" ODI century.

This is not a cricket forum; my bias/non bias towards any cricketer does not matter. As a matter of fact, "I" do neither appreciate your views not endorse them; but that is me..you may have followers and I dont care.

Maybe you should re-read your own post...what you say above and what you write below is miles apart. If there was no comparison, why call SRT a lowly figure? You could have put it differently if you meant what you wrote above.

felt bad for Ben...all the Yamahas were flying; except his.

I was just thinking, actually, Honda did not anticipate the Yamaha assault this year. With the sudden attrition in the form of Dovi and the late Super Sic, the front running Hondas have suddenly diminished in numbers and the strategic advantage is now with the Yamahas. I dont see this improving till Bautista or Bradl up their game and start dicing with the satellite Yamahas.

                  • I think that would work, if Bautista and Bradl get the factory support.

I hope the reason for Ben's result was cuz of the Crash he had, and some bike issues. Hope its not the Crew problem, like Toni Elias had with the LCR honda.

Anyways, first race, I think everyone almost has equal bikes, (satellite and factory). After sometime the factory will get the atest updates and results mite be different.

Same way, no team were expecting Ducati to be a Rocket in 2007

True that. Knowing how Honda works, it would be a difficult proposition unless Honda find the Yamaha domination too overwhelming and then extend full support to all satellite teams.

All said and done, I think it is quite an evenly poised battle. The Honda as usual, seems more powerful than the Yamaha while the Yamaha seems better apt at managing its tyres till the end of the race.

As a MotoGP fan, I can only wish for a brilliant season with lots of dogfights and overtaking

Let the best man on the best machine win!!

rephrasing your statement: Let the best man(Vale) on the worst machine(Ducati) win, at least once this year!

That might make him and Ducati work better, together!

I don't think this was quite the case in the first race. The tyres on all bikes were in very good shape even at the end of the race. Both Pedrosa and Stoner said at the end of the race that tire wear was not an issue.

Infact during testing with these new tires Stoner had said, that the tires will be perfectly fine even at the end of the race. If you look at the lap times, both Lorenzo and Pedrosa were doing similar lap times at the beginning and the end. Stoner dropped back because of arm pump and not tire wear as initially thought.

Rossi was doing better lap times at the end of the race and not on new tires. Rossi did say that he was having problems with the new tire and as the tire got older it got better.

Rossi to stay with Ducati -

Hmm...might be. There was surely some concern about the night race yielding low tyre temperatures. What you say about Rossi doing better times might co-relate to the low tyre temperature thingy.

I think the true scene might emerge when the racing resumes at Jerez.

Hope Rossi gains something out of this "Italian Dream Team" partnership.
