well i found the race quite boring...greatly timed strategy of MM won him the race...huge screw up from the 99 side of the ducati garage/team (no one knows what they were thinking lol)...zarco messed up going in to change bikes the last lol...rossi and dovi screwed up too going in too late but still managed to get some decent results...

I won't be surprised if you found this season itself quite boring

i know what you mean , but :

that's not true, i have found most other races terribly exciting, particularly the one where dovi won...so far this season has been (on an average) at least as exciting as the last season or the one before, if not more...

i never quite enjoy flag to flag races, one or two exceptions aside maybe, as this is only good for TV show, not for actual racing most of the times, as was the case yesterday....the last time i liked some flag to flag race was that philip island one 2-3 seasons ago...think MM had won that one too...

has nothing to do with lorenzo suffering or not...i never placed much bets on him doing well on ducati in the beginning itself, at least not in his very first season with te bike..

it's all just part of racing, i know, but flag to flag is no good for actual racing most of the times, even though of course sometimes weather plays games and flag to flag remains the only option...it's much more like a lottery and which particular rider/team made the best timed decision to pit...for me that steals value from racing...already tyre choices pretty much seem to decide the race result most of the times, but that's acceptable as tyres and tyre management ARE a part of the bike, of the rider's understanding of the tyre and of racing...but flag to flag is just a mess....pretty sure most riders don't like it when they have to do flag to flag, except the one who won or got unexpectedly good results due to lottery chances...

in any case, yesterday's was not so good TV show either for the most part...the slightly decent part was rossi-cal battle which didn't turn out to be much of a battle anyways as cal couldn't really fight due to his injury...

          Wow!! Quiet a Drama.
          Poor Iannone and Aleix.

First of All, Marc got the best out of the worst situation.

Good Ride by Rossi, I think when he came out with his second bike he rejoined the race in 14th position and only Zarco had not pit.
He was almost a second quicker every lap (Well! than most of them).

Just two secs off Vinales, was just great!!

Meanwhile, the commentators conspiracy theory was that Marc slowed down on purpose in the initial laps so that no one notices his master stroke. And though he himself stated that he got too much of rear spin on the soft wet, the more I think about the theory the more I want to buy it. That's how good this young lad is!

According to Crutchlow, Marquez didn't fight back when he was overtaken, which was surprising to Cal. He then saw him pit and realised that Marquez had once again pulled off a masterstroke...

Scott Redding to Aprilia and jack miller to Pramac Ducati. Totally unfair to Sam lowes on just his first season. Why Tito Rabat is still hanging around. Hope Sam gets some decent ride.

Suzuki's screwed this season too. I thought they were not gonna repeat last season all over again.

I think Suzuki screwed up when they choose Alex Rins over Zarco (2 times moto2 winner) although rins is talented fellow who will prove his worth inevitably but still...... I think zarco would have accepted Suzuki (eyes closed). Discarding Alex Espargaro too was another reason.

Or probably Zarco chose Tech3 over Suzuki keeping the big picture in mind? The Tech3 is an M1 from one season back so in many ways quite similar to the factory M1. A very potent bike owned by a very respectable team. Poncharal also appears to be the most likeable team principle

As for letting go of Alex - they new Alex was good but they wanted to take it one level up having lost Maverick so the best bet available at that time was Iannone though now it appears Zarco could have been equally good if not better. They couldn't afford to keep both Alex and Iannone as both are senior rider and they have to develop the bike per both their demands which is not so easy for a team returning to racing after a gap.

My opinion and might not be accurate

Suzuki was never a force to be reckon with but I think Suzuki contract was not on zarco table maybe cuz of his age otherwise just my guess zarco would have accepted factory team. But he's a guy with attitude of taking or leveling up gradually so his decision is paying off.
About Alex and Iannone I think Suzuki is small company comparing to other Japanese company so might be a budget issue other wise they would
Keep both and deploy satellite team too. #justmyopinion [emoji13]
