A bit of an odd session possibly. The top three bikes were satellites! Normal order would resume shortly i assume.

Truth be told, after the Le Mans race, I had wondered if, I will ever get a chance to wave that yellow 46 flag again. So...relieved!

What a race , wasn't sure Rossi could hold off Petrucci at the finish line but he did it ,great for the championship .Great Moto 2 race with Morbidelli striking in the last lap from Luthi but disappointment for Mir in Moto 3 when he went from 1st to 9th on the last lap .

Dovi was superb and so was Crutchlow! Brilliant rides by both the riders. Felt sorry for Zarco. Petrucci was brilliant yet again!

great race again, and great rides by rossi, petrucci, MM, dovi and cal...was rooting petrucci for the win though, brilliant of him to have kept on battling with someone like rossi till the end...what is up with him lately ? the last 3-4 races he's ridden first class for a satellite ducati rider..

terrible day for dani and jorge and zarco...very silly and impatient of jlo and zarco to have changed their tyres at the slightest hint of the rain...could have just waited a couple of minutes to see if the rain was intensifying or remaining consistent, but nah, a bit of downpour in one section of the track for a minute and they went in to get their wet bikes lol..

Ducati using Carbon Fibre fork tubes

They are hard to spot, but if you look closely at the 2017 Ducati Desmosedici GP (a bevy of photos are after the jump) you will see something very unique going on with the front suspension. This is because Öhlins and Ducati have teamed up to develop new fork technology, namely carbon fiber fork tubes. The Öhlins carbon fiber fork tubes can be seen on the machines of Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo, starting from the season-opener in Qatar, and are noticeable for their matte black tube finish, with gold ends. Öhlins is coy about how much weight savings are involved with the forks tubes, but they are noticeably lighter when they are in your hands, something we have first-hand knowledge of, as we had one to pass around at the Two Enthusiasts Podcast live show at Austin, Texas this year.

another exciting race...great rides by marc and folger...some good battling between dovi, vinales, rossi, petrucci....

god knows what was the thinking of lorenzo and his team for choosing soft front and rear tyres...quite stupid tbh, despite me being in the armchair....not just one tyre soft, but both of them lol, in a racing condition (and in a power bike like ducati) totally not suited for softs by default..

                        another bad race for zarco..

Even Dovi went for a soft rear. Then there were some who went with a medium rear and suffered even more than Dovi and Lorenzo. Petrucci started on the front row and finished behind Lorenzo. Different tyres work for different folks. Zarco almost always uses a soft for the race. Though yesterday he went on the hard surprisingly.

A fantastic race for Zarco! He started 19th and finished 9th.

Dovi, Vinales, Rossi, Bautista and A. Espargaro really entertained in the middle of the field.

Another DNF for Iannone on the Suzuki!

monk, i meant to emphasize that jorge went with both tyres soft...that combination doesnt work with ducati most of the times/tracks...not sure if anyone else was with both softs.

yes of course, petrucci suffered with the tyres as well (worse than jlo admittedly, though he showed promise for several laps), as did zarco and others too...

Remember Australian GP 2015 (hitting an Albatross with helmet :P).
Aggression displayed by Iannone was unmatchable by any of the racers on that day.
He is a great talent and Ducati shouldn't have dethroned him.

Maybe he still needs some time on understanding that Suzuki machine and with crew.
