An interesting read. Though the article focusses on Danny Kent, it gives an important perspective on how difficult the switch from Moto3 to Moto2 is.
The mental part i think is the most important part for longevity in the racing scene along with talent & hard work ,one of the reasons Rossi survived so long adapting from 125 ,250 ,500 ,2 strokes,4 strokes ,990 ,800 ,Honda ,Yamaha successfully.Though the Ducati's caught him out .

Perhaps, making him the Frankenstein (Death Race) of MotoGP wouldn't be a bad idea after all.

Reminds me of this story from Eddie Lawson:
Welkom ’04: Do or Die for Yamaha By Eddie Lawson As told to: Nick Ienatsch In August of 2003, Yamaha decided to pull the plug on its MotoGP effort. Two factors prompted this decision: money and getting their butts beat. This is the company that won nine world championships with Kenny, me, Wayne…and then couldn’t […]

Pol Espargaro's riding awesome with the KTM. This engine config suits him I think.
Bradley still to pick up, he is picked up pace though

pretty great race..great rides in particular by dani, lorenzo and zarco...zarco is fast becoming my new favorite rider..and was great to see jlo surprising everyone and doing so good on the ducati finally, that too coming back from 8th qualifying position...looked comfortable sliding the ducati a bit around as well...hope it continues...

not sure what issue the factory yamahas had, tyres maybe ? tech 3 yamahas did just fine though..

good rides by MM, dovi and folger too of course.

                    Good race.

Fantastic for the Championship. Top 4 riders within 10 points of each other. Mouth watering for fans of the sport. Among the top 4, Rossi is the only one who has finished in the points in all the races this season. Pedrosa, Marquez and Vinales have all chucked it down the road once each. Rossi leads with consistency. But finishing 10th isn't really the consistency he would be hoping for!

Good to see Lorenzo back at the sharp end. Sad to see Yamaha suffering here so much. Even Dovi put in a good performance at a track which he dislikes. Zarco is AWESOME! Pedrosa was incredibly emotional after taking his win, shows how much he was struggling last year with the harder carcass tyres.

Jack Miller got a 1000 euro fine for pushing Bautista after the crash

yes, i think i saw dani shedding a tear or two at the podium presentation...

and yes zarco is amazing..he was great in moto2 last year but tbh i didn't think he was the motogp-alien type until these few motogp debut races of his..now everyone's pretty sure he's one of the upcoming aliens...and he's not even THAT young like most upcoming aliens, which is even more impressive..

Maybe not being that young is a strength and not a weakness. He can be more analytical and not just b*lls out racing like the young blooded guys. Read Pedrosa's comment after winning the race. He talks about the difference between racing as a youngster and racing as you get old'er'!

but he does seem like balls out racing though but i guess in an analytical way in some sense.

yeah had read dani's comments on age and racing.

be nice if dani can finally win a title this year.

Ducatis may fair well in LeMans.
                            Lorenzo adapted as well.
I think there might be high chances of him winning.

Nicky Hayden had a horrendous crash yesterday on his bicycle in Italy. He apparently got hit by a car. He is currently in a medically induced coma and has suffered severe head and spine injuries.

Even though it is very early to say anything. From whatever i have read it looks like chances of seeing him race a bike look extremely slim. Just hoping that he pulls through and survives this crash.
