        Haha,

Thought it was short lived friendship of team mates, but always happens with Rossi when the two are top championship contenders.
Yesterday he had a nice handshake and cheers with Marq. A short lived intense rivalry of 2015 with Marq.

So might be interesting considering Vinales being cocky!

Dorna, FIM, manufacturers/teams, pr managers and sponsors have clipped riders to a greater extent. No longer can they behave like wild animals. A lot is at stake. However, Rossi once in a while lets it out because he can and still get away with it. Rossi has never forgiven Marq for the 2015 debacle. And he will never change his opinion.

Those handshakes and nodes are all a new "in" after the Luis Salom accident. Deep down, they all want to crush their rivals.

IMO, Vinales handled the situation quite well off the track during the interview. On-track split second reactions are nothing unusual.

Hmmm, For above comments in quote,

            1. Ya, that might have ended long back - Max Biaggi and VR had fist fights.

            2. Haha, true. Its hypocritical,

            3. True, we want to see that on track. Thats what racing is.

            4. Absolutely true, Can't control.

What I mean is, these rivalries will be interesting if they don't get ugly but some action on track.

What a race for MM93. Superbly rode throughout and after he overtook Dani he made it look like as if he is riding his home track, superb riding by him. Felt sorry for Vinales but thats racing, you make a mistake, you are down and out.

Rossi leading the Championship for a change. He was given 0.3 second penalty for gaining on the 2nd place Pedrosa which the BT Sports commentator thought was very harsh. I dont know if they would have said same thing if it would have Iannone or any other satellite or even rookie rider. It was right to penalise him, since it didnt made any much of difference to the result it doesnt matter anyway.

pretty good race..great ride by the hondas...would have been nicer if dani had won though, he ruled the first half of the race, but of course MM had much higher race pace...good to see jlo doing okay finally...

rossi took on zarco quite harshly lol (MotoGP News - MotoGP Americas: Rossi: This isn't Moto2, Zarco), for what was clearly a racing incident with no iota of anything deliberate or THAT controversial...interesting that he thinks he can complain about such a move by zarco, what with his infamous history of many (and some highly) controversial maneuvers on other riders...he (and also MM in general) shouldn't really complain about mildly harsh moves from others unless it is something really outrageous that even they have never done, which zarco's move (clearly a mistake and not a tactic) wasn't...of course he has the right to give his opinion etc, but there's more to things than just opining.

oh and iannone again apparently made a hard pass on jlo, forcing the latter to go off the track and eventually lose two positions as a consequence in the final laps..lol

This race made the championship more interesting .Tyre management during the race seems to be the key now .Zarco looked very good till he bumped into Rossi , let's see if the penalising system remains consistent and fair . Will be interesting to see how Vinales responds in the next race . Morbidelli controlled the pace beautifully in the Moto 2 race to complete a hatrick of wins .

As Rossi himself said it to other riders in front of camera, its time to say it again but this time to Rossi. 'This is racing Rossi' so get over it mate and stop moaning; you didnt lose anything to moan. lol

It boiled down to tire choices for both of them, no? medium & hard front.

I forgot to catch the live race. Suzuki's corner speeds are/were better than Ducati's no?

The championship is interesting and there are many riders in good form, but I expected some flair from KTM which is not there till now.

Marquez still the best at Austin and great ride by Dani as well.

Good Ride by Vale, I thought Cal, Zarco and Rossi would have a good fight for 3rd place. But 2nd still better.

A fascinating interview with Lorenzo. Far far away from the image that the media generally portray of him.

just realising i forgot to reply to you earlier.

yes it did boil down to tyre choices between dani and marc, but i think marc also probably had higher race pace based on the weekend's performances.

yes i think everyone believes the suzuki (and everyone else lol) also has better cornering capability than ducati...however, iannone's pass on jlo wasnt shown in live race...information about the alleged incident between them came from later interview by jlo and other race reports by journalists.

An interesting read. Though the article focusses on Danny Kent, it gives an important perspective on how difficult the switch from Moto3 to Moto2 is.
