Rossi and Vinales top the sheet with almost 0.3s separating them. This is the battle to look out for next season.

Best timing so far only bettered 'fastest race lap timing';
they're yet to close in on 'fastest qualifying lap timing' for this circuit.

Vinales finished top of the pile at the end of the first day. Lorenzo third and Iannone 7th. All three manufacturer changes are doing a good job on their new steeds. Lorenzo had the highest top speed by quite a margin. 324kmph for Lorenzo vs Dovi at 317kmph on the same bike. All three show considerable promise for 2017.

Among the four rookies, Zarco and Folger are doing a good job on the Tech3 Yamaha, while Rins seems to be struggling relative to the other rookies. Lowes doing a better job on the Aprilia from the looks of it. Rabat will be happy, that he won't be last on the grid anymore

2017 is going to be very interesting!

Third fastest. If Lorenzo gets on well with the Ducati... yikes!

Marquez and Rossi will have a tough time winning another championship.

Rossi sandwiched right between his old team mate and his new team mate.

Also, the new Honda sounds superb!

So Marc Marquez does not like Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. Now he apparently does not like Maverick Vinales as well
