(Again letting u know, Am zero in racing knowledge, so help me patiently plzz)
According about race result, R15 and RTR look like similar... But i don't know enough about these for making the difference...

I think, it is better to come to track ... and feel it by yourself.

Let me also put it in another way.A 2nd hand R15 costs more than a brand new RTR

There are lots of ppl who are practising with R 15( including me )
Thats the main the main problem in starting off with R15, I thought of starting with YBX in lower CC because if i need to come into 160cc category, then i need a R15. So only, thinking of YBX. I dont have enough cash to get a R15 for racing

            Let me ask this way

Ok, I will ask the question in different way.

I wish to race but have no idea about the race
So, kindly tell me which category will be suitable for me(As a starter)?
Which bike will be suitable for me? which is best bike and which is cheaper bike?

alright..so here's what you can do.. get urself an r15.. forget cheaper. you will learn a lot on this ride than anything else. come to the track. attend atleast a couple of track days. If u see urself making progress stick to it for a while, when u build speed and then enroll for any of the championships. u could get into the R15 championship and prove grounds ( not sure bout this year though..) or else attend one of the track day schools and learn some more....when the time comes, you will get into it..But first of all ....HIT THE TRACK. most of ur questions would be clarified then.

The Cheapest way to race is to participate in TVS Race a Bike scheme. In this you pay 750 rs for 2 half hour practice session and for 2 Races. Its a two day session which also includes 2 Chicken briyani.

The other option is to participate in Honda stunner cup. The problem is, you need to qualify in top 15 out of the 60 riders.

You will be given 10 mins to put in your fastest lap, based on the fastest lap timings, the top 15 will be selected.

And yes, as rider told, visit the track a couple of times and get to know the track. Unless you walk the path, you will not know which way to go.

Also keep a wide open eye in the second hand bike market for stunner, apache, CBZ, R15, RTR. I have seen guys practising even in Shine.
I came across a CBZ classic for just 2.5k. If you want, u get such one, put in new MRFs, you are all set to go. Dont worry about the engine, make sure it has got a good gear box, frame. Engine can be rebuild under 3 or 4 k.

Later you an always decide which bike to race. Hence first what you need is a bike, Damn any bike, except for pulsars.

                Hope your doubts are clarified.

                  Thanks guys

                  Thanks guys,

Now i have a plan. plz tell me its good or a wrong idea?

Let me get a RTR or any bike cheaper(dont mistake me need to get IN first), let me practice for few months. then when i have confident enough to ride fast that time i cant get suitable bike for racing. So that, i get racing good. can i do this?

Is suit compulsory while practicing? i have plan for getting Torso Armour. Can i wear that and practice without suit? so that, i will have lots of time to get suit.

Yes come with RTR for practice session , then you can also try to make some TVS race...
Me i have started with a pulsar 150 ... i have liked it ... some time after i bought one R15 ... and i have liked it more...

About suit... it is not compulsory for practicing. But that is better to wear one anyway... if you want keep your skin...

Oops. I shouldnt have told 'no pulsar' in my previous post. I forgot that you started practising in P150. He he.

@ johnsingam - There is nothing wrong to buy a cheaper bike and to look out for cheaper options. Instead of Torso Armour, you can buy a cramster armour Jacket. It will take the abrassion better than a torso armour.

When u are ready with the Gear and bike, do ping us. After all, even i started like you only. So must keep the Chain rolling
