Some ideas for how we can do the running...

1 lap is roughly 2.5 minutes on an Indian 4-stroke. If we keep 10-12 second gap between bikes exiting the pits we can squeeze around 15 bikes on the track at the same time.

What will be better is if we break-up the running into 15 minute slots which gives the runners 6 full laps at a minimum before you come back in. Doing more than 6 laps at a stretch also causes loss of concentration and mistakes.

There are some bikes that can lap considerably faster and some riders who are more talented and more experienced. Request you guys to step forward as a volunteer to lead each pack.

        5:00am - 5:15am : 1st group of 8 riders (7 + 1 lead) out on track. The others can do timings/photography/setup while they wait.

        5:20am - 5:35am : 2nd group of 8 riders

        5:40am - 5:55am : 1st group of riders go back again

        6:00am - 6:15am : 2nd group of riders

This way in an hour you can do about 12-15 laps depending on your speed and consistency. If we stay until noon that is already close to 100 laps.

You can use the breaks in-between sessions to get some feedback and help your mates with timing and photography.

There will be a few SBKs lapping alongside us (Rossiter on his R1 for one) so let us have a quick briefing session so there aren't any unnecessary incidents out on track. I'll also try to get someone along to show us the lines...someone who knows this track inside-out.

I propose a quick dinner meeting on Saturday. PM me if you'll be in Chennai in time for a 9:00pm dinner meeting.

        You will not be forgotten...RIP

This can happen if we (XBhp) are the only riders in the track on 28th. Am Darn sure that not gonna happen.

Bangy guys ...It is always better to start early. I suggest you guys carry on with early leaving plan....I will join with u guys on track if finally i can come. Leave office early is quite imposible to me, so i have to start late and definitely will be doing bangalore - chennai bit fast. so around 11 pm i should be in chennai.

Now the question is ..will i be able to join finally ? I really want to

One word of advice to all guys riding from Bangalore. Get your engine fluids changed, if possible, a thorough service routine, since you will not only do 650 odd kms but also belt the bike on the track. So, has to be in top notch condition.

A friend of mine siezed his engine enroute to the track. And this being a weekend, expect less or no help as the mechs shops would have remain closed. Nothing like transporting your bike to the track.

And pls dont bother timing your laps, I know you guys would put to shame guys on SBKs with your lap timing. So spare them...LoL , phun intended.

Guys @ chennai: Hows the heat? tolerable?

Karthik...yesterday I happen to visit chennai for personal reasons and you wouldnt believe how much hot it was yesterday....from morning 11 to evening 4 it the temperature was at its peak...but in the evening it was more comfortable...so we all should be very well prepared to fight the chennai heat....in other words.....

Avin, I propose we leave from Silk Board latest by around 1:30 - 2 PM to ensure that we avoid night riding completely. Other Bangy guys, pour in your suggestions so that we can plan early.

Ok, probably dumb question but being a 1st timer I wanted to know if there are petrol pumps near the track ? With Gsferrari's post on the possibility of doing 100 laps, that would translate to 371 kms which would translate to one tank full on my R15. Not that I would be able to do a 100 laps on my first attempt but still ....
