Rossiter and I will be giving this trackday a miss. It is getting too crowded for anyone to have meaningful time on track. I guess this will be a fun G2G but for some of us a lot of expense is involved in getting ready and being there. Not being able to run the track with any sort of consistency due to congestion will ruin the whole experience.

If I am in Chennai on 28th I will definitely drop in to see how you guys are doing.

but for this big turnout i think someone should be there to co-ordinate once all reach the pits... give a briefing about the track rules and in collecting the track fees as one POC. because when i attended the first track wonderboy did all this which easied ourselves.

if required i can ordinate but not much familiar with the briefing... probably the regular track riders like sajiv, karthik or some senior guys can give some tips.

Actually as per my understanding, for some of the guys from Bangalore, this is not going to be their first track day. Also from their plans, these guys are well organized. Actually my point is, rather than fixing some for the job, the person available in that place at that time who is capable, can undertake that ownership. And yes, surely you can take that responsibility brother

Sajiv will not be early to track, so we cannot ask the early birds to wait for Sajiv. If Karthick sir is turning out, yes he can do the coaching. He really got some real first day track experiences.

The general tip for first timers is
CLOCK WISE EVERY WHERE
Take it slow and easy
Do not charge the corners



Forget your rear brake in the track
Lower the air pressure by a couple of PSI( varies for dif bikes )


Brake early for the corners.
Lubricate your chains the day before to track day and allow the lube to settle.

^ Yea rite, I have hardly done 9-10 track days. I myself need some experts to show me the lines...

avinrichards/aargee... I'm stuck with not able to get the rc book of my bike. Unfortunately, im not in bangalore...will be reaching around 9PM today. Plan to go to the RTO tomorrow to see if something can be done..will update my status as and when anything new comes up

There are 2 very important points which will come first ...

1. study and know the race track. take a plenty of time to study it , do couple of rides to calculate the entry and exit speeds on the corner and u should be able to judge which corner needs to be tackled at what speed.

2. know ur bike well ,.. make sure its pro's and con's .. for example u can;t bend ur bike in high speeds as u do in sport's bike like R15, and decide ur speed on ur bike capabilities.

rest to add are :

1. Bracking is another imp point , always applay progressive bracking instead of locking the wheels
2. In corners if u miss it then u'll go off the track and if that happens don;t panic .. just keep ur bike stright and steady and try to slow down [don;t fully stop, untill u got control] and trust me u won;t fall if u don this.
3. Always be very alert in track , and keep assume that some one will be behind u [this will help u to avoiding cutting the others lane ].
4. There will be 90% possibility of crashing on the track when u'll be doing more than wt u suppose to ride on normal days, this can be avoided with a few seconds of patience.

All you first timers, hope you have your bikes in good condition.

Read this and this to get an idea. Hope you realize how important it is to have a bike in good form.

@All - There is one important thing what i forgot to mention. There are channels cut outside the race track for Drainage of water during rainy season. I think they will still be open. AFAIK, they will be in C2 , C4/C5.... Even if you go out of track, you have to stop the bike before you get in to this Channels. ROFL.... I have a very good experience of coming out of this channel. So does another guy in the riders list mentioned.

This would have been a good chance to catch up with some members I haven't met for a long time and some members I have been wanting to meet as well. Like GS said, and also for a couple of personal reasons, I cannot make this trackday

when i attended the R-15 championship some time back ... in one of the race .. i saw that one guy missed the C2 in over speed and went off track and believe and i slowed down on C2 and continued watching that guy and Guess wt ? he didnt stop there he went stright hoping to cut the road other side and suddenly i saw him toppling along with his bike ... that time only i came to know about the trench there .. other wise i would have followed him .
