Hope this news came true seriously waiting for some good TVS product like RTR-180 which can break the monopoly of P-220.
But yes it should not look like its family bikes should be different....like P-220 is different from its family bike

Just two words " KEEP DREAMING ".

TVS is a confused manufacturer, they have all the capability to make bigger bikes, but the management is so confused, they need proper vision, which the management certainly lacks.
Sometimes I do wonder what products would have come out from TVS R&D, if they had some one like Rajiv Bajaj leading them.

Very true, they are straddling between many things like the ASEAN project, the three wheelers and the commuter bikes. They are actually trying to make the foundation/setup strong. The premium segment(read:200cc+) is more of a niche segment which has good margins but less volumes.TVS as a motorcycle manufacturer lacks the volume of their products which is a concern. But the mopeds/scooters have actually helped them a lot in keeping things going.

Apache as a product has been a steady seller with sales of about 15-16k units per month.Hope the Jive and Wego make things better for TVS as that would make folks at TVS actually shift their focus towards premium segment.

But i can safely confirm that there is no 220cc bike coming from TVS in the year 2010.May be after that!!

An RTR 220, 22 BHP, Full Fairing, ABS... yummy!

TVS, as we have seen earlier, is not known to make quick launches. So do not expect that any sooner.

BTW, the ABS thing reminds me - they said it would be in their bigger bikes from 200cc. Any scoop about the RTR 200 that has supposedly done its homologation by now?
