As far as I know it sells around 9-11k units per month and it has never reached the 15k mark.Originally posted by chicane1879 View Post
Very true. They have come up with two new launches very recently and RTR180 is also not that old so there is no way another new launch (read the biggest one in TVS history) will come so early. I don't see it coming anytime before the first quarter of 2011.Originally posted by chicane1879 View Post

An 220 with ABS......thats interesting.....
But its damn sure that TVS cannot get the price below 1Lakh with ABS fitted....
TVS has a Commuter 150cc Bike in 2010 (close sources view)
But an Bigger CC bike is not on 2010 may be a year Later.....
But who knows they may Surprise us in the Expo

these are all speculations...........RTR180 is already good enough to take on the competition,it just needs some ABS,Fi and tick here and tack there to beat the 200cc+- competition.I hope that the next RTR release be a 250.........this time a production reality and not just a concept.Hell's Angel

I think you should ask the guys to check the RTR FI thread, similar issues, the the TVS factory guys have resolved it. Just mail the top management, they will come running to you.Originally posted by sheelpriye View PostHad recommended RTR 160FI to two guys,
still can't face them, all sorts of problems are cropping up with both and SVC guys can't rectify it, pathetic.
and when they are trying to sell it for as less as 40K, no one is ready to buy whereas RTR carb retails for ~50K

On paper and in performace figures, definitely yes.Originally posted by MACH50 View Postthese are all speculations...........RTR180 is already good enough to take on the competition, it just needs some ABS,Fi and tick here and tack there to beat the 200cc+- competition.
But in the share of mind of the (common) consumer.. I can't say.

Like Pulsar 220 DTSI and the new pulsar lineup,A180 is nothing (in terms of sale) as far as i have seen after the new pulsars were launched they were sold like anything!
but its not the same with apache 180.
apache is not doubt a good performance bike!Speak Less,Speak Wise!
Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

So another thread to up the hype. Dont these companies realize that too much hype can be bad for the product? Ford Edsel, anyone?
A180 is good on paper, but sells nowhere in numbers compared to the Pulsars. All due to niggling issues like notchy gearshifts, vibes, oil leaks etc. Hope same is not the case of A220 too. And here, A220 is again hyped on the basis of engine power, ABS notwithstanding. Engine performance is not everything, if TVS wants to beat the Pulsars. As a package, Pulsars are simply unbeatable right now.Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

I am glad that the RTR series of performance bikes are not in the "common" consumer's radar because that would dilute the brand for what it stands for.Originally posted by payeng View PostOn paper and in performace figures, definitely yes.

For them we have a plethora of no-nonsense bikes available in India which would fulfill the common requirements without any fuss.
I agree!!Originally posted by abhijeet080808 View PostAs a package, Pulsars are simply unbeatable right now.

? if they gave us A180 which gives a tough competition to some of the bikes from upper segment
than why can't they give a 220cc with ABS and 22bhp power IN 2010
???
