Makes sense for a honda 250 in thailand and then in india... IIRC , 250r sells like hot cakes in thai. But the question is , if its the real competition then the power should be almost equal ... it has to be 30 ps +sigpicThe Moto Cafe - India's first bike theme cafe @ Chandni Chowk

There will be many takers for a bike which looks like the Ninja 250R (read: FULL FAIRING), comes with a single cylinder but most importantly costs about 1 lakh less (the Mojo's price tag).
If the price difference is about 50K.. then I'll prefer the Ninja 250R eyes closed.
Peak Power and Torque of the Mojo at that price (1 lakh less than the Ninja 250R), should be ok.

That could be a single cylinderOriginally posted by n_venki_2001 View PostLast week was getting my Ninja refuelled in one of the petrol pumps in Gurgaon. Someone riding Honda Civic climbed down and walked towards me. The person was wearing an Honda official t-shirt. Told me he works for Honda. He enquired about the Ninja and then told me that Honda is coming up with a 250CC faired bike in a month or two. He also mentioned that it would be manufactured in India and would cost around 1.4 to 1.7 Lakhs
. He also mentioned that the rear brakes where drum brakes.

if mahindra priced the Mojo at 1.9 lac...Originally posted by payeng View PostPeak Power and Torque of the Mojo at that price (1 lakh less than the Ninja 250R), should be ok.
just wondering... how would Honda manage pricing a fully faired 250cc bike at 1.9 ish???
very unlikely..

Considering Honda's arrogance in india...I wont be surprised if they price it more than Ninja 250R.Originally posted by xionite View Postif mahindra priced the Mojo at 1.9 lac...

A honda 250, my only gripe would be its price... it its priced sensibly I would surely bite the bullet! The 250 would become a nice commuter bike for some time

Single, again! After Mojo JojoOriginally posted by MG_Biker1806 View PostSupposed to be a single. In that case both the speculation will fall flat
I hope the price tag to be around 1.5L (which am 100% doubtful it being a Honda) & atleast 30bhp (sunn lo bhagwaan

It was quite a news few months back that Honda is in the process of launching a 200cc+ bike in near future to compete with HH Karizma. However, now that Karizma has a full faired avatar in ZMR, this upcoming Honda might well be that motorcycle with full fairing and a single cylinder!
NOW
If it's going to be in the competition to Karizma/P220 then it might well be a single cylinder bringing the cost in the margin of 1.5lakhs at most! If not, then it will compete with Ninja and will be more expensive as well. But let's see that its actually a 250cc and not a 150cc to compete with the Yamaha R15
But it's gonna be good whatever it'll be!Last edited by Satellite.kid; 10-05-2010, 12:15 AM.The Chronicles of Motorcycling - The Man, The Machine and The Road
