Note - Please Read carefully before posting your reply . And by the way ,everyone choose the bike by their own ( they will ask suggestions , but still final decision will be His decision ) And i'm not commanding you have to buy this or that . Your money , you do whatever you want .

I'l try to explain you again -

Dude , First Money Matters . Money Money Money ......... The people who cannot afford R15 means , the next option will be Pulsar 200 NS ( For The guys those who can wait for 2 months and want to get a new Bike with great power , performance , upgraded technology , Mileage , Afordable price etc ) . Why are you going to KTM Duke ? Which costs around Rs.1,30,000 /- Those who can spend 1,30,000 means they can go for the Duke and by spending 5 K more can go for CBR 150 r and by spending 34 k more they can go for the CBR 250 r ( non ABS ) ( with their requirements they can choose their best bike ) and the chain goes one ...... But I mentioned about those people who cannot afford R15 V 2.0 ........

      @ Satellite kid and Enthusiastic

It's my Personal point of view . It may sounds Silly , but I Don't care . Why guys , your BP is shooting up ? Warm up Guyes . If you think Bold Fan Boy Text Hurts or irritates you means i Apologize for that .

      Cheers S.V.Prasad
Ok I am not perfect in saying the following but I am learning it faster day by day.
What I can say is you are a Novice. (I could have well said you are immature)
Xbhp is a forum with discipline and true biking is not just roaming around on bikes honking everywhere. Its also about having discipline and respect for all bikes.
      1) Please try to use *sedate words* so that you don't hurt other biker's sentiments. Eg.
      - "Novice instead" of "Immature"
      - "Affordable" instead of "Cheap"
      - "Giving value for money" or "want to save money" instead of "cannot afford"
      - "People who like XYZ brand" instead of "XYZ fanboys"

      2) If you think something can hurt someone you must say "Personally I would say...." or "In my personal opinion..."

      3) Do not write something which is uncalled for like what you started.

      4) Do not reply with giving you own explanations if someone corrects you just to show your are smarter

      5) Do not start your statements with words like "Dude" etc. No one is your dude here.

      6) If you hate something keep it to youself *no need* of sharing it.

      7) Do not write for uncalled statements. (Like what you are doing in all your posts).

      8) Always backup you statement with some solid links or "true" personal experience (usually for ownership.. not friend's bike etc.)

This post is for CBR150R and not about CBR150 vs R15 vs P200NS. All are good products and most of the people would like all the 3. So don't create unnecessary brand wars situation with useless comments.
This is a forum to discuss facts about bikes especially new ones and not to hurt people's sentiments.

And last but not the least, do not reply with a back-to-back post to this post and prove that my all preachings are wasted and you are argumentative, contentious and disputatious.

      Cheers A.K. Verma

I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

Looks--> its up to the individual opinion..
Do u have any proof/link says that cbr150r Performances(its Honda DOHC vs Yamaha SOHC engine.. DOHC engine always has the upper hand over SOHC engine),handling, mileage is less than r 15v2.0? ..

And also there are another set of people who will spend extra cash to buy duke and cbr150r over r15 v2.0 for its poorly placed pillion seat

I know that i shouldn't have replied to u , it useless reply too .. Plz dont mention "fan boys", Commenting negatively on a bike that haven't hit the road, that haven't been reviewed yet shows that u hate cbr150r or that u have booked r15 v2.0 over cbr150r.

There is always a debate between Honda vs Yahama.. lets keep this aside and concentrate on CBR150r bike alone or please change the thread name to "CBR150R vs Yamaha r15 v2.0"

If we have to go by his reasoning, he cannot afford to buy CBR150R so he bought R15.

                  • Three CBR 150R's has arrived at the showroom in Calicut city(KTC Honda) a couple of days back, and one of my friends working there had informed me. I went there straight ahead and found out that the bike will be shown only to the public after official launching (That was the words of the sales manager). After a request by my friend to the manager , I was able to take a look at it. But the thing is, I badly wanted to ride it since its only a month after I bought the R15v2 after selling my P220.

My friend called me today early morning that the sales manager was on leave today and the Honda's 'other' people are taking the C150R out for a spin.
I went there at 8am and got hold on the bike .
Truly speaking, the self start button is a comedy . In a premium bike, everyone will expect big. The bike started in one crank , and as soon as I took off, I did feel I was riding a C250r, but not due the power , but the sitting position was the same.
The lesser torque is quite noticable under 50kmph and I am not sure that the Yamaha R15 will be a better performer than this. 100 came up quick , but it wasnt any better than its rival. It might be also due to my friend(pillion) was wieghing near 100kgs.. The bike I rode today was refusing to go about 113kmph, whatever the conditions are.
Gear shifts are smoother than the YZF boy, engine is smooth , but the front brakes... common Honda, you must have done a little better . Its same as the Karizma's (It works better on zma's but not on this , maybe due to the design change) The front brake is not anywhere near the R15 or the P220. But the rear is good enough to hold it steady. The rear tyre doesnt go with the looks of the bike. And we can definitely assume that the mud from the front tyre will be heading straight to the radiator since the mud guard is no longer that its elder sibling. Seats are highly comfortable than the R15 .
Talking about rear disc, I think its a pick and plant from the Dazzler(not quite sure though).. Tyres are great on performance , good looking silencer, but I felt a little vibrations just after all gear shifts and after the bike has crossed the 85kmph mark . But those are negligible.
'The basic conclusion' is , at 1.31L(Deluxe on-road Calicut) , tourers will definitely prefer this bike over the R15, but those who want a complete sports bike, the R15 will be good.
'My conclusion' is that the tourers will be most probably taking out 20k more and going for the C250R so they get that awesome power which the C150R lacks. If it was a 1.10 on-road or 1.15 max, it wold have been the best in the segment. But for the time being , the YZF baby is a single mile better.

Disclaimer: I wrote this as a Bajaj fan. Now dont consider me as a Honda fanboy or a Yamaha fan boy which I'm not.

this TD report cleared a lot questions, btw how is the built quality and plastics quality compared to the R15 V.2? and liked the engine note?

The plastic quality is good enough, or perhaps very close to R15. But handle and grab rails are already losing paint.
Engine note is quite good, different from c250r.
