Try asking someone who is not a xBhpian whether his R15/Karizma ZMR has "Fi" or "Carb".. most of them won't give a damm.
Now remove the full fairing from their bikes and ask them if they would be ready to pay the same price for their bikes as they have paid.
For a "normal guy": Full Fairing (or Fat Tyres) >> Fuel Injection

The reason for RTR FI not doing well are more to do with the problems of the bike rather then the costs. I have personally seen many of the FI owners getting silly problems with the FI system and trying to sell it off.
