SZR-This bike has got disc brake,is more aerodynamically enabled, has got big bike feel and may impart stability and comfort at high speeds too,in one word a rocking package to knock out the Pulsar 135LS in this budget range.
While Yamaha's SS125 along with SZX and SZ is enough to take out the Discover 150 in commuter stakes.

Yamaha has also brought the eldest brother of FZ16,the FZ1 to India too !!!
With 150bhp power and superb naked posture its gonna be an apt bike for India's enthusiast bikers too.

They should have never launched the NON-disk version!
this is good news..i hope the existing customers can get the disk fitted at a decent price!

                  ya really great going yamaha,
so now we have a another sibling with same 153 cc engine, ,
                  - fatter tyre, - midship muffler, - some plastic...
and do it has r1 blinkers??
just one question, what you think when you say "enthusiast bikers"
we dont want the best(10 to 13 lakh stuff), but we really dont want this 153cc too.
where is your 250 to 600cc range!!!!

maybe all in due time, high price is often for Govt policies and introducing international models in the line are also much left to the red tape to decide.

One big Japanese OEM(Suzuki) already went out the bold way and asked the Government to cut that 110 percent duty the enthusiasts has to pay for their dream machines.

Now lets get back to SZR without going OT.

coming soon SZ150RR with front and rear disk. then SZ150SRR in new colors and again and again and again to quench the thirst of "enthusiast" bikers.

coming back to topic, i too wonder why they didnt launch the version with disk before? 99% of 150cc buyers want a front disk brake in there bike.
Street racing is for Squids trying to make up for their small equipment

Villagers don't prefer disk brakes, so having an option is a good thing.

                              Poor Yamaha .

I really considered this bike to buy in october, but after test drive i feel that techinical equipments missing. When i am test ride i feel it as a splendor/ any other 100cc bike due to non existing of tacho meter and disc break and poor speedo meters.

Finally i decided Suzuki GS150R and brought it in October last week. If this SZ-R available in october definately i will be purchased it.

At last Yamaha is waken up and released this version .
