That for YAMAHA is something new, we YAMAHA customers have always been used to getting our bikes slightly more expensive than the copetitors. I remeber the RX100 came with 6V electricals and a puny 2.75 section rear tyre, no plastics, no stickers and no frills yet cost the most as comapred to it's 100 cc competitors back in the day.Originally posted by Curious View PostGood one Yamaha!, now its proper 150cc feature rich bike at ridiculously low price!

Once again.. Yamaha falters in pricing it at 55k.. sure there will be buyers.. but numbers will be low. Still can't understand the Yamaha mindset.. do they feel electric start, disc brake etc are features?? they are must in a 150cc bike.. Clearly this can't compete with Disco150/P135LS on performance front..Let's bring down the monster of corruption to it's knees.. please visit http://ipaidabribe.com/

Liked the strategy of yamaha. Copying bajaj eh.
Anyways now the bike is complete.
It can compete with the D150 easily (although not with P135). It can compete the P135 only on the low end pull.Originally posted by vrugonnab View PostOnce again.. What copying? each of these bikes are visually different... they also run in a different state of tune. So may be you could say copying HH\H!Originally posted by madhav krishna View PostLiked the strategy of yamaha. Copying bajaj eh.

Oh yes it can,surely..........the SZR has been aerodynamically updated, the vibe free nature and the rev happy FZ mill will give the rider ample confidence to push it correctly. It will just need some determination to smoke the P135LS.Originally posted by vrugonnab View PostClearly this can't compete with P135LS on performance front..

Am not talking about the styling bro.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostWhat copying? each of these bikes are visually different... they also run in a different state of tune. So may be you could say copying HH\H!
I was talking about the way yammie is copying the upgrading techniques from bajaj. Just like bajaj upgrades its bike every few months now even yamaha started to use the same strategy.

Well as per YAMAHA's mindset the bike being an YAMAHA itself is the bike's greatest feature. The rest are add ons that should cost as add ons. Thats where YAMAHA pricing logic comes from.Originally posted by vrugonnab View PostOnce again.. Yamaha falters in pricing it at 55k.. sure there will be buyers.. but numbers will be low. aerodynamics!!! That's an optimistic take.. by the time you gather determination, P135LS would have long gone!! you need some determination to smoke it with even FZ.. SZ.. noway!! yes, SS125 can take on Disco150.. no doubt.. but SZ-R.. don't think so..Originally posted by MACH50 View PostOh yes it can,surely..........the SZR has been aerodynamically updated, the vibe free nature and the rev happy FZ mill will give the rider ample confidence to push it correctly. It will just need some determination to smoke the P135LS.

sure.. damn sure about it.. Glady can beat the pants of p220.. or even Ninja250R.. only condition being P220/Ninja should be only in first gearOriginally posted by harianamika View PostA gladi can take care of pulsar 150 itself, the 135ls can eat the dust made by szr. Hmmmm

That sounds over confident to me.............anyway,if our paths ever cross offline in future,we will always have a P135LS and a SZR somewhere,we can settle it that day there itself......in a Bona fide way and without endangering other road-user's safetyOriginally posted by vrugonnab View Postby the time you gather determination, P135LS would have long gone!!
Lets not corrupt the SZR thread with silly who is better than whom now.
SZR,SS125,Discover150 and Pulsar135LS....were meant to provide fuel efficiency, riding comfort while being performing fast commuters and no matter however good they do,they would all require more than that to be of enthusiast's interest.
When I talk about these bikes,its just not about performance,but also ride comfort,road manners,fuel efficiency and all.Last edited by MACH50; 12-16-2010, 12:49 AM.Hell's Angel
