difference in FE is around 10kmpl 1.e between 30-35kmpl & 40-45kmpl as i said above..if ridden properly then both bikes can even exceed these figures..Originally posted by Naveen1985 View Postdiff in fuel efficiency is 5-6 kms/ litre n 4 day one hav to pay 20k more...
i don care about digi console n other things..
main diff between the 2 is fuel efficiency and tubeless tires...
look wise zma is much more proportionate then zmr...
your point again is heading toward looks of both bikes, which is subjective..as an above member said that ZMR might not look as good in pics as it is in real..
you are paying 20k extra for closed loop FI i.e PGM-FI(which i heard cost alone near about 15k),tubeless tyres, rear disc, digi console(which according to me best among any Indian bike), LED tail, MF battery(which is in 2011 ZMA as well), split handle bars, igrs shocks, bank angle sensor n all, now its a personal choice to go for any bike, as per me i love ZMA but found ZMR ahead then ZMA in all aspects so i didn't mind shelling out few more bucks on it..
totally agreeOriginally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostI hate arguments between brothers!

ZMR's console not only looks good but it shows most accurate figures on its speedo among all Indian bikes..

Though the ZMA-R is old, it looks are killer and it does not feel outdated. A ZMA-R with FI engine, slightly bumped up power, rear wide tyre, tubeless tyres, redesigned console, clipons, rear GRS shocks definitely kills the ZMR. I will grab one right away if it is launched.
+1.
Infact ZMA is selling well than zmr and it is a fact, i.e the company has not discontinued the model.
Though ZMR owners may feel bad but it is truth, ZMR failed to do the magic which zma/zmaR did.

obviously ZMA had to sell more cuz when it launched way back in 2003, there wasn't any bike which could compete with it but now its a totally different scenario when ZMR is having a competitor from its own stable..& moreover we should not take interest in which bike is selling more & which isn't cuz that's a matter of a company's marketing, we as a buyer want a bike which can fulfill our need & in a better way so i loved the way ZMA served the biking community & ZMR took it one step ahead, what i have to do with the sale of HH in it??, if sales can decide which bike is better then i guess Splendor or passion are way ahead in itOriginally posted by KARIZMATIC View Post+1.

its just that i was getting a bit extra from what i liked so i went with it..individual thinking may differ for sure..

Guys... Leave alone the looks... Though this cosmetic update makes it look stunning... But has the use ASFS in the engine increased consistancy in engine performance and what about the mileage figures consistancy... and more importantly ABOVE ALL have they been successful in making the cost of spares cheaper than before
...
I think any improvements in these areas could prove a strong point in relaunching the same bike with same looks, same heart and with different shades...
It would be better if anyone could actually test the new ZMA-R and discuss it with us...

i don't think AFSF etc will be doing any wonders in performance and mileage wise.Originally posted by noel046 View PostGuys... Leave alone the looks... Finally the bike I spotted became official . The unusual thing was I spotted the bike in Pune ( where there is no HH R&D , factory etc)
Refresh of legendary Karizma was on card the since last few months .
-Clip on handle bar
-LED tail lamp
-Tubeless tire
-Rear disk
-Digital or Semi digital speedo meter
-MF battery
-Slight cosmetic changes
HH added all these features to 2010 Hunk(except Clip on) , so HH could have easily provided all these features to Karizma R also . But according to HH this would have killed the ZMR I think it was a strategic decision not to add all these features to the Karizma R .But according to me it was mistake. Majority of people (except the owners of ZMR
) hate the looks of ZMR . Yes the looks are subjective but indeed the bike looks disproportional . The Karizma R remains the best looking bike in India. Adding the above features could have made the Karizma R instant hit keeping ZMR as niche product ( for those posers who want 'big' superbikish look or pure touring enthusiast who want FI technology ) .I think Hero Honda want to make ZMR bestselling model which I dont think is going to happen. Both the posers and pure touring enthusiast now have a very good option in 1.5 lack - CBR 250. So I doubt bike worth 1.05 lack and 160 kg producing relatively less power would became a market hit. In short by adding these features and keeping the bike at 85k price-point would have made Karizma R best selling even in coming years. Opportunity lost by HH in my book

that's why they bought the bikeOriginally posted by 1235sam View PostMajority of people (except the owners of ZMR

adding these features and keeping the bike at 85k price-point(how??
)
& if HH will give these goodies which they are giving with ZMR then how can you expect that they'll deliver all these on a price point of under 85k as you are mentioning it in your post??Suzuki Gixxer - Current
