Just 350 for engine head cover? That's a good news for the would-be owners.Originally posted by sharingan View PostThe hyosungs are very cost effective.. No other foreign brand can compare in terms of cost..
I once bought a 250 R engine head cover (black metallic) for my friend for just under 350 indian bucks!
This brand surely provides good value for money
Also, from the Hyosung Suzuki partnership, the GT650R has same blueprint as Suzuki SV650. Many people claim across the net that the GT's torque curve is better than Ninja 650's curve almost at every rpm except low rpms. These claims were never verified properly though.

@ n_aditya: I hope the pricing is good, because I'll be taking one too, as my long termer.
But as far as the market is concerned, the Ninja 250 is almost done for.
A biker would prefer a CBR with an after-market exhaust for almost all needs, than a Ninja costing 1L above the competition, that too with a weak low end torque.---

Lets wait and watch. I dont want to sound like a Ninja fanboy but the only thing that will happen is lower sales on the ninja due to the lower pricing of the cbr250.
A performance enthusiast will still go for a ninja. There are quite a few ninja bookings and sales even now, considering the CBR250 is just around the corner.
I'd love to see Honda putting their best foot forward for the customer just like the Kawasaki and Bajaj folks are doing... and this did not happen overnight due to the CBR250.
In all probability, honda dealers will treat CBR owners at par with the activa and Dio owners.
On the weak low end torque, have you ridden the ninja or this is from hearsay? The power delivery is linear and smooth, no way is the torque less or inadequate. One might feel so if he is moving from a bullet to a ninja, but hey a couple of guys in my riding group have bullets and ninja's
Edit - i have re-read this post a couple of times to ensure that its not interpreted as me being rude or corny. If you feel so, do let me know and I'll edit it out. Last thing i want is another ninja vs. cbr or vs. hyosung war.

Well, the "Ninja done for", I frankly admit was a somewhat subjective remark. Apologies.
It was just an Indian market prediction.
As for the Ninja's low end torque, I met an owner who complained of this, during the run-in. Also, I saw some stock Ninja vs CBR250 torque curves on Xbhp taken from some Thailand site. The Thai site claimed with one more curve, that an exhaust modified CBR can come closer to the N250 even in straight line. Not to say that I blindly trust that site, also the price difference is too high to ignore.
But again, stock is stock. That's where ninja smokes every road-made 250cc 4-stroke. And, I love all the Ninja's. In fact, I'm getting a 650 on its Indian release.
A small OT: One thing I want to talk about is, what other info do you have on N650's Indian launch except the pricing? Can send me a PM about it? I promise that the info won't go any further.
I will have some 6L ready for this bike, from a property deal I'm trying for. But, if its more than 6.5L, I won't be able to buy it.

Just as i thought.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostAs for the Ninja's low end torque, I met an owner who complained of this, during the run-in.
I've come across a ninja being sold because the owner said its underpowered.
The Ninja 650R will be priced at around 6.5L ex-showroom (Blore) and will be around 7L (+) OTR. For this price one can buy a used fully legal SBK (07/08 model). OTR prices could be as high as 7.4L for the 650R.

Hi,
I got a call from Hysosung as well as a mail. The lady told me that they will let me know the exact details as soon as they are available which will be soon. Also she asked whether I am interested in finance options and whether I will book in April or May. I ca feel it. The GT 650 is very close now.

I think Hyosung doesn't like me... After the number of queries I have put in I get no calls or emails...Originally posted by rajkamal_pol View PostHi,

I got a call from Garware Motor today.. There are quite a few important points to note!!!!!!
This call was a response to the enquiry i made for ST7 through their website
1. ST7 will be available for booking in Bangalore by MAY. If required before that, delivery can be taken from Goa. However if delivery taken from Goa, registration will be the responsibility of the buyer
2. They are planning to have an exchange offer for our existing bikes.
3. Discussion in progress for finance tieup with ICICI and HDFC
I am not aware any progress on dealership activity in bangalore. So I am a bit skeptical about the availability in Bangalore by MAY.
Having said that, I dont mind if it is late by a month or so !!!!-------Traditions of a religion can never become laws of nature------
