Crux was a rather confused attempt at that.. I guess we are not too far away from bigger capacity bike launches now. With everyone trying to join the party, two years from now brands absent from india can be counted on fingers!!Let's bring down the monster of corruption to it's knees.. please visit http://ipaidabribe.com/

Confused attempt at what? The Crux is a economy commuter and it s damn good at it. It s great sturdy piece of machinery that can handle rural roads very comfortably, and is capable of puttering around towns effortlessely and very smoothly I must add. And handle like a dream the riding ergonomics on the Crux are a treat. There is no confusion on part of YAMAHA there. And it does sell decent numbers yes the market is dominated by HH and thats just got to do what is built into the people's mindset over the years. "YAMAHA is all style and power and no mileage, whilst HH is all about Economy and practicality" thats what the average Joe out there thinks and talks about. But even amongst the rural and the B town populace a guy who knows a thing or two about good bikes goes for the Crux.Originally posted by vrugonnab View PostCrux was a rather confused attempt at that.. I had the opurtunity to use a hired Crux whilst travelling in Hampi and what a ride and companion she was effortlessly taking on that rugged hilly boulder strewn terrain, Handling like a dream, and even the guy who hired out that bike to me a not so well educated rural dwelling brother simply had to say this in Kannada YAMAHA andre tough Gaadi saar kai kodalla. which translates to YAMAHA's are tough bikes and and they do not let you down."I set out running but I take my time, a friend of the devil is a friend of mine. Sigh.. my statement wasn't about capability of Crux, but on how confused Yamaha was with Crux.. they neither pushed it, nor stopped it. Expected it to take off on it's own probably, but that didn't happen.Originally posted by yamahatrooper View PostConfused attempt at what? The Crux is a economy commuter and it s damn good at it. is Yamaha still facing hurdles..... I thought they are doing fine..... look at the number of dealers & the quality of service..... of course they are not doing like HM or Bajaj or Honda..... but they are doing better in their own way.....
n no way Crux was a good vehicle..... used it for 6months..... it was a bad vehicle from Yamaha..... a lame effort..... even felt other 100cc to be better that Crux.....
anyways Yamaha, bring some 400 and make us happy

The curse of 'low fuel efficiency' attached to Yamaha is another reason why sales are low w.r.t Yamaha entry level bikes, however their 100-110cc bikes are very good in all respect including 'FE', somehow HH not only stands tall in 100cc but also crushes competition time and again...

Have to agree to that! That model needed rather needs some good marketting juice behind it!
It s the legacy of the Hero Honda CD100 that carries them thru!Originally posted by vipin_s View PostThe curse of 'low fuel efficiency' attached to Yamaha is another reason why sales are low w.r.t Yamaha entry level bikes, however their 100-110cc bikes are very good in all respect including 'FE', somehow HH not only stands tall in 100cc but also crushes competition time and again...
