when you look at long term ownership. N250 is cheaper to own compared to comet. As its sold here, its much easier to get spares. You can import N250 parts from abroad as well. So far my friend who owned a GT250 and now owns N250 is much happier with his N250. He always keeps on bragging how bulletproof the engine is and how much more he could abuse it compared to Comet.Originally posted by nagoo View Posti don;t agree with the part of maintenance of N650 will be cheaper than GT... and i don;t think N250 is any way cheaper in terms of spares and parts ... in 250 category... bajaj intentionally placed Green @ higher side ... u can even import comet parts from Thailand for much cheaper than N250 parts available in india ..
can't believe me ..just check with comet owners ... u have to accept the fact that Greens are placed much higher price tag to project its image of posh bike in affordable category.. [N650 price i have not included ..as i don;t trust source ..untill official pricing]
and about last longer bike ....trust me ..its depends solly on owners care ..

Called up Probiking Mumbai & Pune..
I called up the Probiking showroom guys today in Mumbai (Vashi, Thane) and Pune. Since I was so curious about the booking and pricing of the Ninja650R, i couldn't resist calling them and asking if I could book it in advance (wishful thinking?)
Needless to say, they have NO CLUE about the launch date of this motorcycle or its pricing, or at least they pretended to have no clue and did a darn good job! For both Mumbai outlets, I had to actually tell them that the website says three days to go!
Well, I guess i just have to wait for the 9th of June, or something concrete in this thread. @satyen - let me know when you are going to buy the bike, you could have another buyer (me!) in tow..
