    "Sports" category...

    Q. What exactly makes a Bike wear that moniker called: "Sports"?

    Q. Shouldn't "motocross" bikes which are made only for the "Motocross" competition deserve to be called as "Sports" Bikes?

    Q. Should heavy/bulky bikes like the Honda VFR1200, Yamaha XJR 1300 be called as "Sports" Tourers as their designed for highway touring and NOT for any competitive "Sports".

"Sports" as it seems has broad meaning.

    To me:

    1. "Sports" means "Fun".

    2. Not every bike needs to be a Race Track tool /Super Sports replica to be called a "Sports" Bike.

    3. Not every bike needs "Split Seats", "Clip ons", "Full fairing' to be called a "Sports" Bike

    You answered yourself there mate.
A touring bike needs better ergonomics and pillion comfort. Clip ons and higher placed split seats do not achieve that... especially over long distances.

It implies that they are taking huge profit from 250R (Its my guess)
Lets see if they place it below 5.5L then Gt650R is dead and Honda might consider launching the new CBR600F ABS at a reasonable price.

He was going ga ga over the performance of the bike. Though i didnt expected but this one is a real beauty to look at, beleive me friends. In pictures i saw front forks were silver but it had black ones just like ninja 400r. It also had rear grab rails like 400r.
biker brothers.. don't confuse things between 450 and 650r

also you might know the pricing of 250r and 650r in UK.. they are probably (still in doubt) using the same theory here..

Just saw Zigwheels on ET now , It clearly mentioned that it's NINJA 650R , don't know when/who started this confusion of it being a 400R ,
    It's definitely a 650R.

Check out the video here Kawasaki Ninja 650R: Bigger & better!-Auto-ET NOW-Economic Times

Any idea when we can check the bike in flesh in Delhi and the color options.

GT650R will stay at that price. The bike has a great road presence and everyone goes ga ga over it and most of the buyers will buy it only for its face value.

there's nothing on their website about the 4.5 lac price-tag.

that's the kinda news u want first on ur site.

    weird.
I dont think a bike like zx6r makes sense in India. But with news about the R6's and gixxers coming in (read somewhere dont remember where) so who knows!

More or less what Bajaj had promised last year if my sources are right

    Thanks for the news buddy.

@Satyen :- Hope you keep your word.
    Where do I sign?
The N250R is not dead yet, its a different league... but yeah a price cut there might help it!

    i'd say goodbye GT650R...
but it's not long before Garware revise the price of the already overpriced GT650R.

    .
+1 on Garware.... there is a price cut else a long list of freebies coming with the bike

This is true for Hyosung too... I am hoping this will cause a steep drop in GT650's prices.
Common Sense: Most business work for profit... so does this... so does every one else

101% sure now garware motors will drop prices of GT and ST7 else they can't survive.

WIN WIN situation for us ( bikers).

I also heard that though Ninja will be launched on 9th June but it would be available in cities other than pune at the end of June, any body has some info about it. Vishwas bro were are you .
This IS definitely the right approach... This also allows them to pit the zx6r or the z750 in a nice niche....

The same price difference exists in UK too! Its a different genre man! and PS: 3.2 is OTR. 4.5 is Ex Showroom... so assume 5ish OTR

    I am a happy man
