Why does the engine appear to be the same (as the current R15) & pictures suggest that this might be the new R15.

+1 and this been discussed to death in the other forum which was locked down, even the spy pics which we had earleir pointed towards this being a revamped R15, in those pic there seemed to be no size difference in respect to the current R15 (looked small with the rider and this is completly my view ) and if it was to be 250 mill then atleast the size should be bigger (something similar to NINJA or CBR)

Firstly, it is a computer generated graphic. The image itself says "CG by...."

Secondly, three holes in one exhaust doesn't mean its 3 cylinder, ok? Even Fireblade had 2 holes in its combined exhaust, one for lower rpm's and other for high rpm, or something similar.

This might be my bike if my plans to go "Green" (no, I don't mean environmentally green) don't mature properly... And by this pace, we should get a home bred R6 by 2015?? But good start anyways Yamaha!

Yes, but I think the R&D Projects in the pipeline should be continuing, won't they? Yes, the CEO is the leader and he is capable of impacting a lot, but that shouldn't deter the R&D Department.

Some assumptions I'm making and the reasons:

                                1. The spy images showing FZ and updated R15, were travelling at almost 100 kmph.
And the news link shows that a "faster than 140 kmph" FZ is also being prepared.
So, I assume that both these bikes are 250cc, also because R15's supply is not stopped so far.

                                2. Since, updated R15 in spy pics had almost the same looking crankcase in spy image as the current R15, I think it would be a rebored single cylinder 250, rather than twin.

These are just assumptions though which means, don't credit me much if they go true, and definitely don't boot me if they turn out false.
