ride a bloody harley. you'll have a zing in ur palms a whole 5 minutes after you've got off the bike.
vibes are good. and they're part n parcel of a V-twin.
i doubt anyone who is seriously considering on buying a GT650R want's it to feel like a Unicorn.
i'm waiting for the Lower Parel showroom to start with test rides.
then i can decide if I definitely want one.
wondering tho... where in the Lower Parel area can i ride the bike above 120kmph??? let alone over 170kmph

GT650R definitely looks macho and big.A proper sports bike lookOriginally posted by payeng View PostHaven't seem the GT650R upclose to comment on its finish quality or ridden it to comment on its vibes. But the USP of the GT650R is definitely its Big Bike looks (a la Pseudo Superbike) at 1/2 the money.

According to me as long as the after sales experience (a challenge for Garware) is pleasant, the engine vibes might not be a big issue.

Try and get a ride of the same for at least a span of 5-6 KMS and then you can see what people here are talking about.

Hi Nagoo , I have not ridden the GT but I have sat on bike and even revved it till 4000-4500 rpm and i can bet that vibes on tank, handlebars even at idle were comparable to our indian bullets.Originally posted by nagoo View PostWTH.... most of the ppl here who are poking abt the vibs never ridden the bike .. they just got these from some online forums and try to put it with some extra ..
I guess most of the ppl in xbhp know there stuff ,We have to wait to get the clear picture till some GT owners writes an ownership experience.

i said most of themOriginally posted by MG_Biker1806 View PostYou are not right!
Almost everyone from xBhp Pune had ridden the bike properly so whatever has been written here is purely based on test ride experience ( Garware had given test rides on last Sunday) and when I say test ride everyone had a chance to open it and take it beyond 150+ .
So think before pointing finger at someone.
.. not everyone
...
yes i read ur comment on last few pages where mentioned about test ride for 40+ppl ... i don;t think all of them here and mentioning about the vibes .. anyway .. i think proper assembling of bike might reduce 50% of vibes i guess

WTH.... most of the ppl here who are poking abt the vibs never ridden the bike .. they just got these from some online forums and try to put it with some extra ..Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostOT: The CB1000 is the cheapest i4
Yes all vTwins have vibes, but then some people love\live-with them too... strangely not many complained on the international forums, but it seems some what 'exagerated' in this Indian iteration with the machine!
Like MG said, may be they phucked up! Who knows!
(I for one dont mind vibes, learnt on RX, rode the RD, LOVE the RTR)
as Satyen said .. in the whole internet forums i didn;t find most of the ppl cribbing about vibs .. except some magazine reviews ... it seems like most of the vibs can be nullified by proper assembly of the bike and remaining some with new tech ..
Ppl should see how much vibs u get from MT-01 when it starts [later its ease out]... all the big engines will have considerable vibs

OT: The CB1000 is the cheapest i4Originally posted by pp180 View PostAll V twins have vibes compared to inline but there are ways to keep minimal vibes to reach rider.
Ninja 650R is a parallel twin so hopefully vibes are lesser than a v-twin and also in there 2009 model they are done some work to reduce the vibes (or not to reach the rider)
OT : how is a parallel engine configuration different from inline engines and
Which is the cheapest inline 4 we can get in India .

Even the Ninja 650R has a fair bit of vibes. You cannot totally rule out vibration from a Twin Cylinder bike unless its a inline4.

the "cheapest" officially available inline four in india is the Suzuki Bandit 1250.Originally posted by pp180 View PostWhich is the cheapest inline 4 we can get in India .
or you can always get a second hand CBR400RR for under 2.5 lac and smoke everything below 650cc from here to kingdom come.
