this is the colour i like the GT650R in. white looks neat too.

but this bike need some serious mods to the seat. arrrrgggh. eyesore.

and that grab-rail seems a bit much too.

also... would paint the side fairings red.

that curvy GT sticker-work is garish.

vibes on the handlebar? as in?

and wouldn't that translate to vibes being caused by the engine?

besides... a steering damper wouldn't do anything to help the situation.

a steering damper cant do shit there...its for highspeed stability..it arrests tankslaps.
    exactly my point. sounds absurd.

Handlebar dampener will just aid in making the ride more enjoyable for the rider and lesser pain in the wrist

I guess by using steering damper he is referring to reduce vibes (or to improve stability) of front end at higher speed , May be .Engine vibes point even i can't understand. That's why i put is here is GT650R post.
But one thing i understood from his post that there are vibes even in Ducati at higher rpm's(even though less ).

Congrats buddy and i think you would be the few lucky ones who get delivery from the first lot. I hope the vibes are dampened even more though for a V twin- its really within good limits.
Just hope Garware puts their act together and give the customers a royal treatment on service and stock all spares and give a reason for people to believe in them.

Would be looking forward to your ownership thread

Too much talk about vibes , Please check below comments from an Xbhp member ,he rides a 2011 Ducati monster 796 . These are his comments on vibes in Ducati (v twin) .May be after this we can expect some vibes from a v twin.

I have read that V-twin have more vibes compared to inline 4 engines , Can you please share your riding experience with ducati at higher RPM's ( in terms of vibes ).Are the vibrations at higher rpm's irritating or they are just fine. Also how is the V-twin vibes at idle (is it comparable/similar to our indian bullets) and how is the vibes compared to our indian made bikes such as Pulsars and rtr's.

    Hi there,

    1) vibrations at higher RPM:
it exists..not much of a bother to me..I was too busy having fun at those high RPMs.
there is an after market solution for the vibrations..steering dampers..

    2) vibrations at idle :
nothing to write about..sounds louder than I would prefer it to be..softer than bullets, I would say...but the vibrations as such don't bother me at all.

But I'll never understand the male fixation with sound. I say male cause I don't think any woman really appreciates loud vehicles. If such women exist..they are most definitely a minority.
But that is another topic altogether

Even I was considering the Ninja250R but when I heard the news on Sept,2010 that Hyosung are launching their 650cc I changed my mind.
Finally waited till April,2011 to book it. And now mid June will be getting the delivery
