Why not Madrid, D.C, Bunes Aires or Moscow? I guess Pulsater's post make sense. Olins or the international agency might've choosed London.

Hero Honda threads tend to have posts like this! LOL.

The Branding partner is based from London, so it must have been their choice. And, I guess this isn't the only event that is going to happen for Hero's brand launching or whatever.

They look for market, they already have good market in India, of course their next target is Africa and probably Europe, and what is better than London to highlight yourself and come into world's eyes.

London or Madrid or whatever city.... Do you think these eurpoean countries would accept these primitive bikes with newer stickers? Karizma, if I am not wrong is also based on an old Honda engine which has already been replaced by a newer one. So, shouldn't they be concentrating more on the R&D rather than going global with such technology. Damn, even startup Pakistani companies are using the same CD100 engine variants. No reason for an Indian multinational to do that. How stupid for people to think that Europeans would accept some bike like Glamour or Splendour or some competition to Stunner, based on the same engine again. The only bikes that can be launched in Europe are Hunk/CBZx/Karizma, but since Hunk/CBZx are based on the Unicorn engines and since Honda is already selling its variants, will people bother about an unkown company (It sure isn't a popular brand in the UK, yet).
The only hope is that Hero throws up some surprises wrt R&D and launches some new products.
Hyosung has achieved moderate success though their bikes are based on Suzuki engines because they have, (1) High Capacity bikes (2) Lower cost.
Hyosung offers FI and other technologies on their bikes at a price where some other manufacturers offer only carb versions.

The venue doesn't make much a difference.. after all they are just revealing a new Brand Identity, not any new models. Why so negative coments about it? Like someone said, probably it'll help in giving an international exposure to Hero Moto's outside India plans.

But it also means that no one from xBhp might be present at the function

What will be actually interesting to see is how long would Hero Moto cling on to the Honda sourced engines.. the acid test will be when they eventually replace the Honda engines with ones developed by themselves (or maybe with other partners).

i am sure that bikes like Karizma's can still do good for starters in those markets but Hero group has to increase their portfolio to stay there for long time & make a mark..but this is just starting & you guys already started criticizing them..din't expect this from fellow Xbhpians..

go Hero & hope you'll do wonders in other countries as well
            well said dear...

Hero is already a known name in india.(Even though Honda is not with them, a lot of people think hero will live up to the standards)

Some people passed comments like "Have they sold even one bike in london". They haven't, and thats precisely the reason why you would go on to a place like that and launch a company.

If a global company by an indian is launched in india, world might not(Do Indians have a great name when it comes to producing quality products) take notice of it, Indian will.
If a global company by an indian is launched in london, world might take better notice of it, and so will the indians.

May be they are launching a 125cc vehicle to compete stunner/ktm/r125... Who knows
              totally agreed with u....

HH is a traitor. I mean many people really did trust them, spend more time on roads with their HH than with their wives in bed.
In 1913 there were 140 vehicle manufacturers in UK. After 100 years, such entry of another one will go unnoticed.

But yeah surely as the lone wolf said they can start selling lawn mowers with splendor engines there.

So does this mean that Splendours will be riding on the motorways of England? they'll be arrested for going too slow! (that does happen for real)

Is this in London the country? or London the city? which one, please tell?

Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !
