If they really want overseas recognition then why don't they develop some nice bikes of significant displacements, good design and high technology (well i.e other than the stickers) and export them?
and i wish them the good luck

I dont care if they launch in london or india or timbucktoo... They have disappointed me personally as a customer year on year.
Silly bikes, even sillier names, and the worse sticker jobs with flashy big a$$ tail lights... The fact that it is so reliable, is that it will run for a zillion years being an eyesore for everyone.
I Hope these brand management companies change all that, make it smooth and sleek, and give them a young image... Not ads with gay men running after each other on their bikes in the rain...
And if you know the HH people, they aint launching any 125cc competitor to anything. They just need to save their arse in the market, and make sure they remain number 1, and sales remain good.
Hero honda has to be the only manufacturer, who is selling the same engine virtually unchanged since 88, and is still raking 3L + sales. ( thats more to the engine, than the manufacturer, but still ).
Now with their engine options out, and technology transfer stopping soon, they need to stop spending on advertising, and maybe invest that money on R&D for the long term.
Sorry.. but Brainfart!!!

Don't underestimate!!!
Boss! the kind of cash Hero carries means..they can buy Ducati, Harley , triumph ,KTM and many such companies by writing one single cheque....They officially are the largest two wheeler manufactureres in the world. So, there is no harm in announcing their arrival on the international stage with a launch from London.

Dikhawe ke liye kuchh bhi karega... As has been the motto with 99% of their product upgrades...Originally posted by lsp2310 View PostIts pointless to launch the brand Hero in London. Hero is entirely Indian Company and company manufactured products are sold majorly in India.
I dont understand this fuss created by Hero group about launching their 'name'!
Thank-God the brand building agency isn't based on the moon...Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostPossibly because on HHs ability to pass of 'logos' as a product

LOL.. but seriously all they need to ensure is that this gets good coverage in our media, regardless of where this actually happens.

@Everyone who responded to my comment.
The problem is not Hero Honda or HeroMoto or whatever revealing their new brand identity in London.
The problem is revealing their new identity in a country where they have no product to offer. And sure it might earn them more publicity there. But what's the big freakin' use when the people there don't have any freakin' stuff to boy from them?
And by the time they offer something the people in London would have had forgotten that such a company even exists (They've got a track record which is not even beatable by Royal Enfield interms of new model launches lol)
And since they call themselves "Desh ki Dhadkan" and "Dhak Dhak Go".
Why are they trying to become "Pardesh ki Dhadkan" (for no reason as stated above).Four wheels move a BODY,
Two wheels move a SOUL...

They are launching it in London, simply because they'll be concentrating more on exports and the global markets, IMO.
BTW, their website is now Hero MotoCorp

Sounds like force india to me ! Anyways hero motocorp is reallly looong name , that too they have pro and all for bikes so in future it will be "hero motocorp splendor plus pro plus blah blah"Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostPeople will think "Hero MOTA Karizma" (In Hindi, The FAT Karizma of Hero Company).
even i thought the same !
hero mota
Anyways, the latest update is that on Friday, Hero Honda got the shareholder's approval on the matter, so its almost a final name. I told them make it "Hero India" so that it rhymes to "Hero Honda", but damn, which company personnel reads Xbhp anyways?site:xbhp.com keyword -> Google this to dig up stuff in xbhp faster

Hero Motocorp's first bike spied!
The Hero Moto Corp's first new launch will be a Dirt Bike. Autocar India magazine website has posted a spy pic of the new Dirt Bike.Originally posted by phalgunThey should consider launching something like CBR, may be with 150cc engine
Even though the Bike is heavily camouflaged, beefy front forks and raised front Mud guard are stand-out details of this bike.
How will be the market response for these kind of Bikes? Seems a bold move nevertheless.
