Oh common thats such an unreasonable price band for a machine like that!Originally posted by payeng View PostPrice it between Rs. 55K-65K and even I might start to consider it as my second bike..!!
Anything over 65K.. nada.
Most bikers do.... swear by your heart that you have never lusted for a red ducati?Originally posted by Satyamzma View PostMunjals really love Red color...

Red signifies a lot of passion.... no wonder if you ask a naive person of a dream car or bike, it would be Red in colour for many!
I liked the logo... No Nonsense... Showing the Better H of Hero Honda... standing out on its own and building itself.
Like it or not, this under a 1Lakh price band and we have a winner in hand and the already radical-ktm would find more competition in India!
Edit: nevermind... Hero Bashing is actually the in thing @ xBhp and most 'so called' enthusiast websites....
PS: My account hasnt been taken over by Vipin :P this is 100% me and this statement is testimony to the same.
PPS: more on this later!Last edited by satyenpoojary; 08-10-2011, 03:45 PM.Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

To keep the price reasonable, Hero has even left the PGM-Fi and gone for a carburetor (the fuel knob is visible in a Photo posted by Overdrive).Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostOh common thats such an unreasonable price band for a machine like that!
Its a 150 cc, air-cooled, 2 valve engine.. which is not at all different from what we get. The suspension is similar too (albeit a bit longer), simple spoke wheels and mininalistic body work.
So why price it beyond any other 150 cc in India?

Why does any new launch always has to be in DIRECT competition with some other product?
This new bike as I see will open a new category of motorcycles in India.. which so far had been limited to mostly modified 2 stroke bikes dolled up to appear like an on/off roader bike.
An on/off (dual purpose) bike (when ridden) has attitude its its looks and stance (as seen on the you tube clips posted above).. just that we Indians haven't seen them being ridden on our roads.

Because of the 'difference' in its genre...!Originally posted by payeng View PostTo keep the price reasonable, Hero has even left the PGM-Fi and gone for a carburetor (the fuel knob is visible in a Photo posted by Overdrive).

Even FZ series is the regular 150cc with 'different' looks....and its price breaches the much bigger/powerful bikes in India...
And considering all the 'segment new' products launched by HH till now, pricing would be on the higher side....
First Karizmas, CBZs, (if et all) ZMRs...all were priced heftily despite being regular and 'not too different' stuffs...!2002 - Pulsar 150 Classic (Still owned)
2005 - Pulsar 150 Dtsi (Still owned)
2006 - Eterno (sold)
2008 - Dio (Owned)
2009 - Pulsar 220 DTSi

even i don't understand the Hero bashing, it is not just uncalled for, it is also unjustified.
As far as calling Bollywood people for the event is concerned, this is just to get the maximum media coverage. Sounds idiotic but true, if you don't have any big bollywood/cricket celebrity to endorse your product/event, it is very tough to get media people to your to cover your event unless you shower them with favors in the form of cash, kind, and/or otherwise.
Throw in a bollywood biggie at any event and they (media) will come in millions giving your product an all round coverage (from the bollywood gossip channels to 24 x 7 news channels hardcore business channels).
so i am not surprised or disgusted to see the number of celebrities in the Hero event, considering the magnitude and the importance of it for them.
and the bike looks nice also. Hope it is not more than 70K.(Been There Done That) x 3.25
