It will be very difficult to place the whole logo over a tank
Hope that makes them come up with something better on the bikes atleast and reserve this one for corporate identity!

Price it between Rs. 55K-65K and even I might start to consider it as my second bike..!!

              Anything over 65K.. nada.

Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.

The the specifications of the NXR 150 Bros... which by the way also has PGM-Fi in Brazil. If PGM-Fi is brought to India, it will do away with the competitive pricing (since this one doesn't get a Plastic "Full Fairing" to justify a premium).

                      > It will not sport a price tag of 'Passion Pro' It will be priced above 80K Ex-Showroom for sure

                      • yeah even i'll think its price will be on higher side cuz demand of these kinda bikes isn't much so just according to a simple economics rule..less demand means more price

btw bike's looking good..not as meaty as KTM Duke but we all know that we weren't even expecting it to be anywhere close to KTM..so i am pretty much convinced with Hero's move..

                        • hero honda...err hero motocorp bashing continues...just because it doesnot fulfill the dreams of us bikers??? common guyz give them credit for atleast trying to launch a proper on-off road bike. If it were done by bajaj...there would have been a temple built for it...rite??? Dese guys here have given to a common indian a trouble free, cheap and a robust means of commuting from point A to B. Now what if dey dont launch bikes that we enthusiast love??? (even that would be wrong, they started the trend way back with sleek and den the cbz and then the karizma and now the impulse), bajaj caters to us enthusiast...again bajaj is no GOD. except sponsoring the "ghost ryderz" and "stunt mania", is there anything else they have done??? what about road racing??? rahul bajaj once said "presence in road racing in india, is a solution to a problem which doesnot exist"...tvs and yamaha have done there bit by being active on the road racing circuit...and recently honda...but what has bajaj done???? hero moto corp goes ahead and launches a dirt bike...bajaj guys will see the reaction and after 2 years will launch one with ktm...i am not against bajaj...actually its my favourite company along wid tvs, but this hero motocorp basing gets to my nerves....

and then the circus thing...aree what is wrong with having celebrities in a launch ceremony...what else do you expect???? its a launch ceremony for god sakes...and as far as the logo goes...its not all that bad either...

and to put an end to any other allegation a dealer once quoted, "the hero group sold around 47 lakh cycles and 45 lakh bikes this year, next year bike sales will topple cycle sales" no matter how much we rant, they just let thier numbers do the talking.

A dual purpose bike obviously can't be the first/only bike in a guy's garage. If priced between Rs. 55-65K (Pulsar 135's price range), the bike has potential to find takers in the form of a fun (2'nd) bike (heck, I won't mind having one too).

But as the only bike..?? I have my doubts.

Food for thought: TVS Motor has the only Indian manufacturer which has been participating in Motocross & Supercross competition for years in India.. builds up a factory racing team consisting of Off road riders/champions. But ultimately it's Hero Moto which launches an On-Off road bike.

What I don't undertand is what TVS is doing? Ideally TVS should have the first to launch a dual purpose bike in India.

It's not fair on the Impulse/NXR 150 to be compared with the KTM 125/200 Duke. Both are totally different kinds of bike.

The KTM 125/200 Duke is a street bike, hence the fatter, slick (Fr/Rr equal sized) tyres, with alloy wheels and a bulky tank to grip with your knees.

The Impulse/NXR 150 is an on-off road bike with dual purpose tyres (front larger in dia. compared to the rear), with spoke wheels and a flat tank with the seat extending into the tank for transfering weight / sliding while cornering / riding in the dirt.
