Re: Random abroad News thread
R6 triple rumours quashed.
THE long running rumours of a three-cylinder Yamaha R6 replacement have taken a hit with the release of emissions documents showing that the existing four-cylinder R6 will remain on sale in 2015.
The California Air Resources Board documents show that, in California at least, there will be a 599cc, four-cylinder R6 available as a 2015 model with no engine changes at all compared to the 2014 version.
While that’s perhaps bad news for those hoping for a 675cc three-cylinder R6 replacement, the existence of a 2015 R6 four-cylinder doesn’t extinguish all hope. The 2015 certification could be simply to allow existing stocks to remain on sale throughout 2015. Equally, Yamaha might intend to offer both machines – when the R6 was given its track-focussed revamp in 2006, the firm kept the softer, previous-generation machine on sale for several years in America as the R6S.

Re: AR1 Helmet with HUD and Rear Cam powered by Android
Polaris, the powersports giant, moves from off-road, snow and slush directly onto the pavement with its new three-wheeled motorcycle, the Slingshot, and a prayer that enthusiasts will embrace the hot rod two-seater.
Polaris makes a wide range of powersports equipment, including Victory andIndian motorcycles, Polaris snowmobiles, side-by-sides, ATVs and GEM Electric Motorcars.
The Slingshot is unlike any conventional motorcycle, with two wheels up front and one in the rear. That may sound like the Can-Am Spyder — but the Slingshot is an entirely different animal.
At first glance, the Slingshot looks for all the world like an exotic car. It has an open cockpit, and angular polymer body panels that define a low, wedge-shaped profile. The bodywork hangs on a tubular steel frame, dressing the vehicle without attempting to conceal its skeleton. It’s got three headlights, a lower air splitter, and two big exposed car-like 17″ x 7″ wheels (18″ x 7.5″ on the SL model) connected to the power-assisted rack and pinion steering with double wishbone suspension, coil over springs and a sway bar — very performance car-like.

AR1 Helmet with HUD and Rear Cam powered by Android
Android-Powered Smart Motorcycle Helmet Available for Preorder - IGN
Skully has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the AR-1, its Android-powered "smart motorcycle helmet."
It may not be the first thing you think of when integrating technology into everyday objects, but it sounds like the AR-1 will definitely have its uses. The helmet projects navigational information and a rear camera view onto the inside of your visor, and you can hook it up to the internet through your phone. You can also stream music, and being able to issue voice commands will help you answer calls, hands-free.
It'll also have more conventional helmet features, such as a quick-release chin strap and a fog-, scratch-, and glare-resistant safety visor.

Re: KTM RC 125 Review
Nice review B7ACKTHORN. But the RC 125 has still a lot to do to catch up with R-125 and MT-125(at least design wise). Yes, if they are bringing in the same to Indian soil with a reasonable price tag, they won't have to look back.
