Hahaha. INDEMINIFICATION can't get any better than this, cooling off in jailOriginally posted by NewsReaper View PostA motorcyclist who was caught speeding on a speed gun, had managed to escape penalty by telling the cops that he had given the bike to someone else to test ride. But not being content with his actions he decided to brag about his lying abilities on a public forum about how he deceived the cops. Unfortunately for him the cops read about his exploits on the forum and now he is cooling his heels in the clink for 8 months! Moral of the story - Don't brag on online forums!!!!

Re: Random abroad News thread
Motorcycle helmets are designed primarily to protect the rider and their passenger, but we guess there will always be some bike riders out there who prefer form over function, in which case this Predator-themed motorcycle helmet will be of interest to them! Designed by Russian company, NLO-Moto, it should be noted that these helmets have not been certified for road use, especially since the shell will limit the visibility of the driver, meaning that you will most likely get into trouble with the law if you’re caught with it, not to mention you could find yourself in an accident as well, especially if your view is obstructed!
In any case if you don’t plan to take it on the road, or plan to use it for other purposes, the Predator helmet can be customized according to your wants. Starting at a base price of $780, NLO-Moto offers their customers the choice of adding on extra accessories, such as a protective face shield, improved graphics and engraving, airbrushing, carbon fiber tips for the Predator’s dreadlocks, teeth, a carbon fiber shell, and best of all, a laser-controlled aimer!

I agree that it wont be a major threat to HD.Originally posted by hegdeanoop View PostGood Bike, Though it wont be a major threat to HD. The thing brands like Victory, HD and RE for that matter is the cult and belonging to the group that makes them sell/appeal rather than the specs. Yamaha surely does not have an image of an outlaw to create ripples in this group. But that said it definitely diversifies their portfolio and offers products to its loyal customers.
I think this bike would be competing against the HD Sportster and could give it a run for the money. So it could be a welcome to ppl who shy away from HD due to reliability issues. Also the Sportster doesn't necessarily fall into the 'outlaw' group.

Exactly. If they price it competitively. You need to consider a lots into equation. Imagine the same bolt offered at 7L for example, there would be many folks willing to go for the legacy and the pride of owning one. It definitely isn't gonna cannibalize HDs image for that matter, as you've right stated, "cult" different people have different cult following, so that's out of the equation.Originally posted by hegdeanoop View PostGood Bike, Though it wont be a major threat to HD. But it sure does can compete with HD if they intend to launch it so. But let's see.

that seems to be distant dream, given the scenario that yamaha is finding it difficult to even bring a 250 CC bike to india.
