  • Exclusive SBK Special Edition 2013 Aprilia RSV4 Factory Announced for North America

Aprilia is producing a special edition RSV4 for the U.S. and Canada to celebrate Max BiaggiWorld Superbike ChampionshipPiaggio could come up with a less awkward name than the 2013 Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC ABS SBK SE.

If you can get over its cumbersome name, the special edition receives the same updates as the 2013 Aprilia RSV4 Factory offered elsewhere around the world announced at Intermot. That includes the addition of a three-mode Bosch ABS and an upgraded engine that now claims 181.5 hp and 86.3 ft-lb. at the crank (compared to 177 hp and 84.8 ft-lb. on the 2012 model).

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

        • Biker's dying wish fulfilled

A heart-warming tale of kindness and trackdays

CARL ROBSON was diagnosed with terminal cancer in December 2012. Given 6 months to live, his last wish was to share a track weekend with best friend Daryl.
With a weekend booked at Cartagena in Spain, it looked as though Carl's wish might come true - until Daryl's motorbike was stolen. Despite being recovered, it was nowhere near track-ready. With no bikes avaliable for hire at that notice, the project looked in jeopardy.
Step in Jamie, Justin and Stuart from repairersFast Lane Motorcycles in Tonbridge, Kent (who also make up Phased Out Racing, 2012 winners of the 'No Budget' cup), who when they realised the bike would not be ready in time, gave total strangers Carl and Daryl the use of their racing-ready, championship-winning Yamaha R1, free of charge, spares and repairs provided so that Carl could complete his final wish.

Kawasaki hasn’t revealed power figures yet but we assume it to be close to the 33.5PS developed by the 250R mill and torque figures to be hiked from the existing 22Nm.

But That is not definitely a big number for a litre today. Definitely a large number here in India though.

Here anything bigger than a 150 is pretty much an exotic. Forget the biker demographic, but the overall frugal minded people far overthrows the biker demographic, in that sense, yes

Yep. Read the sad news yesterday. I don't think it is any more profitable for them, but that sure is one helluva headturner!
