but bro, nobody corners the way you described, RPM will raise only if you downshift without decreasing speed and releasing the clutch, and not even motogp riders do it that way.
Coudnt resist telling, youtube for Garry Maccoy for some sideways fun!!
you are right,(i am no expert, but in simple words,)the compression made by the small petrol engines are way less than that of the diesel engines.so the less pressure creates more back pressure with a turbo in between making it less efficient.

Guys, ZZR1400 coming on October 10.

KAWASAKI'S new ZZR1400 looks set to make its first official appearance on October 10. Details about the bike are sparse to say the least, with rumours ranging from an increased capacity – up from 1352cc to nearer 1450cc – to the possibility of a turbo or supercharged version.

Whatever the truth turns out to be, the ZZR will be vaulting ahead of the new ZX-10R as Kawasaki's most powerful bike, and in doing so must clearly step over the 200bhp threshold. At the moment there's some ambiguity about both the ZZR and the ZX-10R's claimed power figures, both only make more than 200bhp with the aid of ram-air, but peak at just under 200 without it.

The latest clue to the bike comes courtesy of a video – apparently an official Kawasaki teaser – 'leaked' to Bikeland.org. You can see the video here:

2012 Model Advertisement Leaked to Bikeland - YouTube

The endless references to “14” suggests that the bike it's hinting at will be the ZX-14 (the American name for the ZZR1400).

Now, THIS is news.. Wish Bajaj brings this UPDATED monster to India during Auto Expo and then launches it..

@princesirohi: Turbos can be fitted to small capacity engines, whether petrol or diesel.. There are so many little KEI cars in Japan with 660c Turbocharged 3 cyl and 2 cyl engines.. They make more power than most small hatchbacks in India.. Turbo is usually not used for petrol COMMUTER cars here, because it involves too much cost and user complexity. Like for example, one should always idle a turbo engine for 1 minute before switching off to avoid turbo damage.. Also, they should idle it for 1 minute after startup to let the turbo build up to its operating temperature, to avoid damage to its bearings..

Sorry for the O.T guys.. But, some people just have too many preconceived notions about technology.. Just my 2 cents to clear the air.. Cheers..

          Another ZZR1400 teaser video

Video Link: Kawasaki Mystery Sportbike - YouTube

          KAWASAKI
has dropped another video hinting at the potential of the new ZZR1400 (or ZX14 in the US market).

This time the video has emerged via American magazine Cycle World. As with the previous teaser, there's no specific mention of the bike's name, but the date 10/10/2011 is shown again as the time for the bike's official reveal.

While some had speculated that the previous teaser video, which was packed with mentions of the number 14, could be referring to a new 1400cc cruiser rather than a ZZR, the new one leaves no doubt that the bike in question is designed purely for all-out speed.

The big question now is just how much power will the new ZZR have? With the ZX-10R already hitting the 200bhp mark in a package that's lighter and faster than the current ZZR1400, the new king of straight-line speed will have to pack a significantly stronger punch.

In what looks to be the first photos of the new Kawasaki ZX-14, we also get a glimpse of some of the basic features that the new hypersport will boast in 2012, namely a 1429cc motor, anti-lock brakes, Kawasaki’s traction control system, and rider-selectable engine maps. As for looks…ZX-10R owners will be pleased.

EDIT:From the comments section of the website it seems no one in japan believes in this magazine so this might just be a fake.

The internet has been abuzz lately with leaked/early/spy photos, some real, and some not so much. Looking a bit like the genuine article, we get another alleged glimpse at a soon to be released motorcycle before its public unveiling. While Kawasaki has been busy teasing the interwebs with videos that feature

Why on earth did they change that quad headlamp setup..? It looked like a BEAST.. Now it just looks like a overgrown ZX-10R.. Damn you Kawi.. Hope they atleast bump up the power to around 220-230 bhp in stock form so that with mods, one can crack the 250 barrier..

                    OVERNIGHT
Young Machine last month published an in-depth story about what it expects to see on the bike. As is normal these days, it knocked together a photo-montage to give its idea of what the bike will look like, as well as to add a bit of colour and visual interest to pages that, without such an image, would have been pure text.

Among its suggestions were that the ZZR will have ZX-10R-style traction control and ABS brakes, which it illustrated with photos of just those components on the ZX-10R.

So far, so straightforward. Until the pages were scanned and posted online on a forum, sending the internet rumour mill into overdrive. Some sites were fooled into thinking the photos were real. Others that the photos were intentional 'fakes' masquerading as the real thing. In fact they're neither, just images used by a magazine to illustrate a story.

KAWASAKI have released yet another teaser video building up the anticipation to 'witness the the phenomenon' for the upcoming unveiling of the 2012 ZZR1400.

Images of the bike were supposedly leaked onto the web in the flurry of 'breaking news' yesterday, however they turned out to be false glimpses of the new ZZR1400.

The ZX-10R based photoshop pictures are far from what our Japan sources have revealed about the new bike which is expected to retain much of the bikes current trademark looks - the four-headlights, the side strakes and the twin exhausts. Therefore, what has been predicted is tweaks to the the existing ZZR but with high-tech electronics to bring the hyper-tourer into the modern era - with traction control and ABS amongst gadgets.

if Kawasaki keeps putting out teasers at this rate, by the time the bike is launched on 10 October we’ll be able to put together a feature-length compilation...

Let’s just hope it’s good enough to live up to the hype.

Awesome.. I'm glad that the BEAST is here to stay.. Hey, just outta curiosity.. Since Sunny is in the US of A, would it be possible by any chance that he might attend the launch function there..? All mods, please enlighten us..

P.S. - The soundtrack they've been using in those teaser videos seem far louder than the current stock pipes.. Vinay, could you ask your Jap buddies to throw light on this..?

If this is the new ZX-14r (ZZR..), I would be missing the front with the four headlights and two pilot lamps. Hope this is not the final design.

It's a photoshop job by some magazine, showing what they "Expect" from the bike. It's NOT the real image of the bike.

The happy news is that "The 4 headlights" setup is very much intact in this new ZX 14R too!
