Will this need a rejetting for the carb?

Good to see some K&N mechandise for quick grabs. I just wanted to know will there have to be any rejetting or any changes et all for the carb version P220 using this built-to-fit filter.. Adios
Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

sir, very happy to know that pulsar has got its own k&n. please let me know what would be the performance, i mean the horse power increase after replacing stock air filter with this(BA-2201) k&n air filter on pulsar 220. And comparing R-1100 and BA-2201, which one would give more performance on pulsar 220(my bike is healthy). please let me know these details. thanks in advance.

wow, superb news, for ages i have been thinking of how to fit K&N without altering the air box. i am very happy.

can someone tell me where can i get one in pune?

and regarding P220 FI, yes it is also for FI, and in fact it is more easier to fit in FI then carbed ones. in carbed bikes we have to change the jet size to adjust the fuel flow. however in FI, electronics takes care of it and its just fit it and enjoy it.

These filters are of the same size and shape as Pulsar's stock filter..so as long as Pulsars stock filter dont fit the Apache..so wont this.

                Shame on you k&n!!!

jeezz!! i had to login for the first time to reply to this as this is really annoying!
Maybe because all the Pulsars except 135 use the same filter?do they?

So much demand from Pulsar owners means they want more out of Pulsars! Maybe the sound?

                      I am getting one.

Having owned a 220 FI for a few years damn I was not educated about Open Loop & Closed Loop FI's properly & being not known that Open loop's can alter the CO & Fuel Management settings by itself, you know what? I Sold my 220, and waiting for a new Closed loop FI'ed bike (Not talking about the ZMR here)

                            I am getting one.
Well, I installed one for performance and it did perform great!
I had to remove the airbox. This meant that my K&N had to suck in the desert sands of Rajasthan directly.

So, I installed a cloth cover (Vega helmet's cloth cover) over it. That killed performance badly. But eventually, I gave in to my fears of piston change, etc. and in the last service, got the stock setup back on my bike.

Believe me, the Cloth cover was so damn dusty and dirty, that I can imagine why K&N's collapse in Indian conditions, without Air box.

Conclusion: The Airbox must stay there, no matter what filter you use. I believe that K&N's reputation was at stake when they had only conical filters, because people would try them without airbox, and then get their pistons replaced after 2 years or so.

PS: I would like to hear what Bajaj has to say on this, specially the "no fuel modifications required" statement by K&N.
