    Even my Pulsar 180 has 2 airbox lid screws, so don't worry about that. If they said its compatible there must be some reason for it...
    Secondly, didn't understand your problem correctly. Is your slot narrow width-wise or the filter sits out when fitted? Did you try horizontally and vertically both?


    Do let us know:
    1. If you bike is capable enough to show P220 a competition now? (which it would have been, if you had fitted the RC1100, but that would bring reliability problems)
    2. How to clean the filter accd. to the manual? Does it come with cleaning oil or something? or is it cleanable with water?

      I think by compatibility they means its of the same size (the dimensions).

      Narrow ..width wise because, the filter goes inside till the outer rubber filter frame, which remains outside.
      The Fig 2 in the instruction manual shows the exact condition. You can see the outer frame of the filter is not completely inside.

      But, yes the filter part completely sit inside. Tried both the ways.
      The wrong way does not allow to insert filter properly.

      Do let us know:

      Competition .. from all the city riding i can say, the bike revs very well,
      that choked feeling is gone in every gear. Can feel the improvement in pickup during each gear change.

      And yes, i have got bit of that K&N "Droooommm drooooom" sound :-)
      The sound is easily noticeable for the people around you ..and is also under the limit for traffic police to notice

      The manual says to clean the filter using the K&N filter cleaning kit, which you buy separately.
      Don't know it can be washed using water, these filters are pre-oiled, so may not recommended to wash using water ?

        Tats great news . i had ruined my bike fitting the filter directly to carb by cutting it, which hardly increased the power.
        Waiting for these filters to hit the stores.

                just received today K & n filter the new one specilly for p220/200.

                just going to fit tomorrow morning and will check out. really excited.

                  i rode today the bike like hell, really enjoyed the new filter.
                  very easily rev. all i can say it worth of spending rs 3k (from eBay).
                  in my opinion the vroooom sound is can not be noticed that much. just 1% in sound.
                  well its best from old rounded one in which bike completely get ruined by dust and all other shi**.
                  well now its too easy to pick it up on top speed. but now feels my brakes soo weak. (as i have p200 so no rear disk).

                    Yes, the Vroom is not so audible, but its good enough :-)
                    I will recommend it for all the Pulsar owners .. its worth that money

                        so how is the Cleaning Procedure guys ? is it recommended in specific intervals ?

                          Even Myself planning to put for Very long time, But waiting for review Its waste I think Till now I didnt get any proper Review about the new P220 Filter

                          And Another Query Is it necessary to install the Filter from the Dealer or can we purchase and install by ourselves since It doesn't require Tuning,

                          Am not sure whether Jetting or tuning requires or not [ Waiting For the reviews]
                          About the K&N sound also need to have proper explanation
                          What about the Filter light is it pops up or ?

                            Hey Guys,

                            Today Purchased K&n For Pulsar 220 [ba-2201] and also NGK Iridium spark plugs cr8x and cr9x and Disk Lock finally alpinestar Face mask.

                            Tomorrow I'll install and post you the complete reviews within few Days.

                            Reviews gonna contain: Installation Process, Test Drive and also about the Sound, Mileage and last but not the least Tuning whether its necessary or just plug and play.
