I am fall in love with Impulse from the day I saw her first, Love at first sight. The Impulse bug bite me hard and I am having sleepless nights.

I built a Jeep and done many off roading on that until I sold that off a couple of years ago. I am an adventure freak and even do some soft roading with my present car.

I like the concept of dual purpose bike since my childhood. Thanks to Hero who made this available in India and that too not much over priced. Today itself I spoke with somebody who is a dirt bike rider since years. He has done on/off roading on his new Impulse and recomended me this bike strongly.

I live in desert side of country (western Rajasthan) and there are chances that I might feel this bike underpower in soft sand. However I am going to buy this bike very soon. In case I start hatting the engine too much, there are junk yards to procure more powerful engines from (RX135 or ZMA etc)

. Sorry that I still have a Jeeper's mind.

Narencharan, your friends seems to be having a lot of fun.....nice pictures.....now the bike looks even more desirable. This is exactly what this bike will be a lot of fun, even on road.

Awesome pictures Naren.. Feels really good to see Impulse doing what it is meant to do...
Even I loved it when I saw in person & actually rode on bad roads & jumping around the bumps & speed breaker.. Never gave me a reason to slow down. I would love to have this as a second bike if the 'M' factor permits me..

A real refreshing look & feel to the country as a stock.

Lovely stills. Wish i got the 'M' Power to get this only for Leh / Spiti ride, so every year will get Leh'ed

Yes, he is the same guy...

I have almost made my mind for Impulse in black colour. I know this is not the best colour but however I would feel less awkward while going to office on that bike than the other bright colours.

Though I am going to buy this bike soon but there are a few things I really do not like about Impulse...

1. The name which reads I M PULSEr

. It n 4X4 world, we call Maruti Gypsy as JeepSi (Jeep jaisi = wanna be Jeep). Even the "pulse" fonts are somewhere similar to Pulser.
2. the logo of hero is not impressive to me. I know it is subjective. No problem, one I have the bike I can always perhaps put Honda sticker on it.

i see a custom exhaust . can u ask nitish/ur frnd which make is it and does it improve performance?

Looks like he's already stripped out the stock muffler and put a different can in.

Hey Nik, nice catch. I just had a talk with the owner of that bike (Nitish) and he said he has a free flow exaust which he bought from HRC, Karol Bagh, Delhi. I requested him to make a video clip of the bike and to upload so we all can listen the knots. However he did start his bike for me so I can hear the knots on phone. It was quite a good sound/knots. He said the torque of the bike has slightly increased after the free flow.

And I see a Raid sticker on the bike already.

Was he there in Raid (ofcourse of another bike) this year, and any plans of taking part in Raid on the Impulse?

I think he is planing to do Desert Storm with his Impulse...

I have a question to you guys... Is there any fluid available to fill in the tube so the tyre does not get punchare? How effective it that?

I am using Slime for Tube in my Fiero, for more than a year now. During my Ladakh ride, I found a nail in the rear tyre, just pulled it out and the puncture was fixed in a couple of seconds, with hardly any air loss (rode more than 1000km's after than without topping up air). Still riding without having to do anything other than check/top up air pressure. I bought it from Speedworks in 2010 but it seems they no more sell it (last when I checked) and hence I bought it from US (via amazon).
Though using it in front tyre affects the handling of the bike (a little bit). Sometimes, I feel a bit of vibration/shaking of the front when riding the bike.
