SPY PICS on the website...don't know the source

With all the gaga going around I think that eyebrows was really good and the first one to do so i think (crt me if wrong), some thing different which is what they promoted.
The problem was, before they could promote anything else at all,the spy pics were out and that ruined whatever those PR guys had planned for.
Nevertheless, it was given too much of a hype for what it turned out to be, just a mid-life upgrade.
    Answers in bold.
And I do think it was given too much of a preference, the LED eyebrow pilot lamps i.e, even in the video
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

I didn't wanted to say it but it is TVS which showed pilot lamps like Dual headlamps and cheated its fans. I felt very disappointed on that thing.

Very well said Ivin. Cooled oil & 'oil hot' analogy was superb

Its me who said that and yes Bajaj were guilty before when the P150, P180, P200 looked the same. But now they have corrected it quite cleanly. P200 stopped. P180 might be soon stopped as speculated. p150, p200ns, p220F,p135ls all are quite distinct models and have good variety in the pulsar range itself. But all apache look more or less the same and I am not able to distinguish them by the stickers or colors.

Ok I understand your disappointment but why show hatred towards another manufacturer (Bajaj) if you are disappointed? Isn't that unjust towards Bajaj? Isn't Bajaj "the" manufacturer which always came up with new models, good useful technologies and always had its fans happy. Isn't it true that Bajaj makes the move and TVS follows the path? I am not a blind fanboy of Bajaj but honestly what they did and launched is completely unmatchable by other Indian manufacturers.

      Hey hey hey

Don't get me wrong here guys i just had had bad encounters with pulsars and so never liked them as a product and IMHO i find them strictly average. And please guys, every aware biker knows the difference between a real oil cooled engine(a coolant oil cooling your bike's engine) and bajaj's gimmick oil cooled (we will just make the engine oil pass through a box in front of the engine, the air will cool it and voila...air cooled).

I'm just against such misdirection by companies because one should uplift the level of awareness of the consumers and not cash on the lack of it.

Yes Bajaj has introduced Indians to affordable biking, yes they have introduced 'some' new technologies to the Indian biking scenario,

BUT it doesn't gives them a right to misdirect us, does it ?

      On the other hand,
Yes i agree TVS has been slow in upgrading their products(i am continuously disappointed by it, yes their apaches look the same, yes they have their own share of niggles

      But they NEVER MISDIRECT, AFAIK.

I'm just saying what i observed and feel please don't be harsh and sorry if i said something that bothers you BAJAJ owners I've nothing against any of you (what would i gain from that ?).

      PEACE OUT FELLOW RIDERS !!

@Enthusiastic Dude it was always pilot lamps! I am still confused how many thought it as dual lamps !its so small ! obviously it was LED lights
Kantu I still feel the way it was depicted it looked like dual headlamps. But the panigale type headlamps were tooo much for me to expect out of TVS so I kept my expectations low.
Somhow I am feeling that the new RTR's looks depends alot on colors. The yellow one was yuck but the green color looks impressive. The graphics on the tank scoops looks like paint coming off

Dude relax.. you seriously need to read/add more to your knowledge about bike/bike engines.

Oil Cooling is not which was invented by Bajaj to "MISLEAD" desi customers. It existed on engines of other manufacturers much before it was featured on the Pulsars.

For your information even Ducati Monster (!!) has got an Oil Cooled + Air Cooled Engine..!! And yes the current ZMR and once upon a time sold Hyosung Comet also featured "Oil Cooled + Air Cooled" engines.

          • it looks kinda dis-proportionate sideways true ,but to how much extent that will be clear unless we see that bike in flesh, till then happy tvs bashing you critics.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
            #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

Dude, what i know is that there are broadly two types of engines, air-cooled ( cooled by the air hitting them from the front) and oil-cooled (when you make an oil coolant passing through the engine to cool it). I did not say that it was invented by BAJAJ. I said they just passed the ENGINE OIL through a box in front of the engine to cool it and sait that the bike is 'OIL-COOLED'(ie. oil coolant wala oil-cooled).

PHEW, i hope i've made myself clear. And if i'm missing something here please man i would like to know, i can be wrong !!

I think ur confused. Oil-cooling is a simpler technology in which just oil gallery is passed in the engine head which leads it to the radiator or air fins and ultimately it the oil is cooled by air. That is what Bajaj also employed and exactly the same thing is also employed by Karizma ZMR. And you're the first person pin-pointing at it.
Well if we have pin-pointing attitude we can pin-point at everything right?

In comparison to that, Liquid cooling is a much complex technology and is employed by a mixture of water & something else( I forgot) which passed through the head of the engine and is cooled by the liquid cooling jacket itself rather than by air directly. Thankfully Bajaj showed its "prowess" by implementing Liquid cooled engine in P200NS

Misdirected? Dude how fair Bajaj has been with their words no manufacturer has been forget TVS. Recently Rajiv Bajaj said we cannot match Honda in sales but we can be very best. Isn't that praising another manufacturer and having the guts to say the truth. Does ur TVS have it? Its only you who felt misdirected. I have owned Bajaj, Hero Honda (in past) & Honda currently but I never felt misdirected. If Bajaj misdirected, TVS won't have followed its path now & then. Please stop posting baseless comments.

Like I said even the Ducati Montser has got an Oil Cooled Engine (where the engine oil is cooled and sent back to the engine) + Air Cooled engine. By the way, the soon to be launched Pulsar 200 NS has got a Proper Liquid Cooled (and not Oil Cooled) engine.

OK OK GUYs, am sorry my bad.

Just said what i knew, i said i can be wrong.

I got what you meant and i was confused, Thanks for clearing my doubt.

And i already said i appreciate BAJAJ for being progressive (KTM & KAWASAKI :O) but wish they would improve their build quality (which they've done in 200NS as far as pictures can tell).

Yeah i just feel sad for TVS, a lot of potential wasted there...... :/

Sry for OT guys but the Duke is selling like anything in Bangalore. Today while going for office and coming back I had dukes overtaking me. And I confess I am in love with its unmatchable grunt. Music to ears.
