The bike looks awesome and with a Parallel twin should produce good power figures as well.

Parallel twins also means that if modded, it will boost nice awesomness

whats wrong with suzuki??? they're going ahead with this??? They might undercut the ninja, (maybe my eyesight is poor, but) I cant see them overtaking the cbr with something like this, given their similar performance figures on paper(comparing with the chinese release). Looks wise, I wonder how many would prefer going for bread(this bike) when one can have cake(cbr250r). At least the price appears a hit.

And when will we get a mini sports bike from suzuki? Forgive me, but whenever I think of suzuki, my brain flashes images of only the gsxr-1000. Seeing the r15 and the probably upcoming cbr150r, I'll cry if we dont get to see a baby gixxer soon. Suzuki better (un)screw the gixxer and make babies.

launch a dirt bike atleast!!!!!! the rmz250 looks like one awesome bike!!!! I'll buy 5 if they'll release it here. ....and raid de himalaya!

Notwithstanding my above comments, this is one fine looking bike in its own right....and the name fits very well too. Thank goodness its not been christened as slingshot250 or rubberball250 or pencilbox250. But I liked the earlier alphanumerical nomenclature better.

I really wonder what suzuki is planning on the chessboard, while most of its competitors are playing some awesome moves left and right.

                        saw this in flesh today....

I went to the NEC - Motorcycle Live today and came across this strange name. At first glance, I thought it was B-king (even though I ve seen spy pics before...of this 250)...but I soon realized it was the 250

Again, my first subjective opinion - This didnt seem like it was put together with a lot of though like the CBR250/Ninja250/R15. It was more like suzuki saying - everyone has a 250 - i am going to make a 250too. Infact not many people hung around the 250 display- even though it was the centrepiece of the suzuki exhibit. Infact my wife chose to make her phonecalls from near the 250..so she could avoid the noises in the crowd says something.... None of the sales folks were pointing to the 250either.

I owned two suzukis before, including a Vstrom650 and I know Suzuki are always better in real world riding and performance than what they seem on paper. The suzuki engines are 'punchy' despite the usually heavier Suz bikes when compared to competition. However, the alloys and the exhaust didnt look attractive either. I didnt bother to check if it is liquid-cooled (in retrospect, may be I should have checked)

Suzuki could have done a mini-GSXR, mini-VStrom, mini-SV650, mini-bandit, mini-hayab.... (ok, not hayabusa). They chose to pick a b-king (I ve never seen a BKing on the road), may be they tried to be different... Infact, no other manufacturers have many sub-brands that are quite popular and affordable as the suzuki. Infact, all suzukis offer excellent performance figs and are inexpensive (inexp when compared to Honda, Yam)... hopefully the bking 250 does well...

Coincidentally, my first biking blog was called BKing......!!!!!

The downside of making a nakedbike in the 250 category is that.... it will be used as a delivery bike for Pizzas and homedeliveries in the developed world. Example, Honda CB500F, 600 (not the Hornet).

Downside? I take it the other way; the pizza companies wouldn't prefer a bike that's unreliable or not sturdy; we buy bikes from showroom not from pizza company

Not ever biker is a 'Marie Antoinette' my friend! The daily Bread & Butter (and the occasional cakes) of bike manufacturers come from mass market, not the niche . . . . . so you imagine how many potential buyers are out there! You have your cake and eat it too, let the rest have their bread atleast!
