Sirrrr... even if I4 Gixer 1000cc engine kept in this body still ppl complain .. the reason is simple .. the LOOKS ..
here ppl wil buy only one big bikes [read as 250's] and now when they having so many options opening .. its fair to demand a good sporty look .. except twin engine there is nothing spl in this bike ... i wonder why anyone will go for it .. when Duke is here .

the fact is this machine is not designed specifically for APAC countries unlike CBR.. so the style quotient is different and more over seems like they are not at all interested in 2 wheels business in India, otherwise things would have been different.

The Inazuma is actually kind of growing on me the more I look at it....and I find myself unable to hold the same grudge against it as I did earlier. If suzuki can make it handle sharply, unlike the somewhat awkward cbr; and if it can price it within 1.3 lakh on road, then I could probably buy this without regret.

Not ever biker is a 'Marie Antoinette' my friend! The daily Bread & Butter (and the occasional cakes) of bike manufacturers come from mass market, not the niche . . . . . so you imagine how many potential buyers are out there! You have your cake and eat it too, let the rest have their bread atleast!
@spagnet: Well, neither is the cbr a niche bike nor the inazuma a mass market bike. Or to be more precise, the inazuma is as niche as the CBR, atleast as far as India is concerned. Id say the market is not really that big unless suzuki prices it close to the r15.

      Nice wordplay. :thumbs up:

@Nagoo: China is not a market to ignore and thats where they released it first. And, as the first post says, they displayed this thing in britan as well, probably hoping to bring it there. So, Im under the impression that Suzuki simply has strange designers than callous ones.

Well seems like Suzuki is on a roll ...first the Slingshot ...and now this . Unvariably this bike will definately find its way to Indian roads much before they plan on getting their GSX .

Well done Suzuki ....the wants of the Indian bikers have grown and it would be in your best intrest to grow up too.

Looks nice to me. parallel twins is what I love in this one.
          2000 - Hero Honda Splendor
          2010 - Pulsar 220
          2012 - Ninja 250R or CBR 250R

Personally I see nothing wrong in it or with it.

On-road it might not stand out (this is cool! kinda attention as in the case of CBR/R15/Ninja....ZMR may be ) but I see nothing wrong in the styling.

It's a segment which has no action. Yamaha/Hyosung's present offering (thai) in the 250cc segment looks wise aint a cbr/r15/ninja but are great bikes none the less. I find larger displacement bikes with simplistic design look really good on road and are easy to live with. Lets not compare this to a MOJO which was styling gone wrong in many areas. KTM is too flashy for me to be honest, I would like to have one in my garage but not for daily commuting. I cant think of going to office in KTM Duke200, Nope! One could even avoid having a smaller disp. bike for daily commuting and a machine for the weekend rides(>250cc), this will do both without being paranoid of "who does what to my bike" when parked. Peace of mind !

Coming to Displacement, A parallel twin 250 with this set-up ( may be a semi-fairing option/upgrade- Suzuki bandit 250 ) is the best recipe for ideal sport-touring machine I can think of presently in India. I know CBR is better /Ninja is better , This could be equally good too is all I am saying. Let them price it right and build it right ! then I have my eyes set on something when I am back in India.

The bike is literally not bad. But it should cost atleast 1.5 lakhs since its a p-twin.

Surely this bike will get posers asking 'where did you get that additional exhaust on your GSR150...me wanty tooo' oh wait. you have an additional engine hammered in too. WOW'!

Like the outright downplayed look of the bike though it probably needs tweaking like rx100.7050 said.

Finally I see someone talking 'for' practicality than just going by looks. I've always wanted this kind of bike from Suzuki. Suzuki's smooth engine, gearbox and that too a twin this time would be something to look for and if everything goes well with the pricing then Suzuki has a buyer here waiting!

Ain't complaining Satyen, if Suzuki brings in this engine to India. I'm just looking for proportionate clothes over that competent engine!

If it gets a bigger headlamp assembly then I am sold! Looks very similar to Bandit and should be very very comfortable for touring.

                              Completely agreed with you satyen...
Riders look towards the practicality and not just the looks....also suzuki tried to cash in on the naked niche........as we already have faired bikes......

And yeah....IT'S 0-100kmph is faster than CBR.....

tell this to people and they will start loving it.....
