For a Sub 250 CC machine, it's perfectly ok. But as they say, more is never enough.
    +1 Agreed.

don't thing bajaj will bring his own engine of DTSi in more than 220 cc....if they have produced then N250 hasn't launched as well KTM...also due to engine (twin spark plug for smaller engine) patent...

          • Hi Friends,

Is it worth waiting for this bike (Pulsar top end).

I currently want to go for either Yamaha R15 V2 or Honda CBR 250R, but the Pulsar 200+ ideally 250!! is stopping me from going ahead.

Would want to know your advice.

I don't think so mate, look at the rear; the grab rails and panels have been picked up from the P135.. Don't think that'd be much of an UPGRADE then would it

Tire size is 120 according to me and as per the current trend i doubt the new 180/200/220 will keep the same rubber. 130 the least that everyone's expecting and Bajaj knows it.

Having said that, i wouldnt rule out the possibility of this being the new 150. Definitely not the premium bike though. If it is, then they'd be taking a step back from even the UG III's.

First impression: If its a 180 or above then i'm thoroughly disappointed in the styling.

But my thinking is if its above 200cc and liquid cooled it should have a disc ... or I am going to put one after buying....
The power output of the Karizma is 17bhp. The Pulsar 150 itself (UG4.5) makes 15PS of power. So, Don't you think the new 180 or 200 versions will make around 18-20 bhp? For that kind of power, it's always safer to have rear disks.

If its a 150, Hope they price it sub 75k. Otherwise buyers have no reason not to buy FZ which is in the premium 150 segment.

On a sidenote, Hope the tires are soft compound. The current eurogrips came under a lot of slack for lack of grip.

                    • I very much believe this is a p200 with ktm 200's engine which is detuned to produce around 20bhp and a price tag around 90k since it has a liquid cooled engine..
Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

Duke 200 wouldn't make sense if Bajaj release Pulsar 200 with the same engine (even if its detuned)

Not sure if you were following the thread closely, but Duke 200 is going to employ a DOHC 4-valve liquid cooled, While P200 is going to sport a SOHC 4-valve, liquid cooled, DTS-i engine. So, there is going to be enough differentiation between these two products, including price.

I would have supported you if the brake lights on the bike was covered too.
The mid and rear panels are 2 separate sections here, unlike the duke.
some variant of the pulsar, definitely not the duke.
