    i think the gearing will be the same for ktm200 and pulsar 200....the 0-60 figure differs only by 0.3....the pulsar weighs some 9kgs more..!!
    so at the max they wud change the sproket and spare the transsmission..

    FZ being flat profile tyre gets only arnd 40kmpl..but thats only a 140mm tyre...donno wat wil b the effect with ktm200

    And yes...i am being impatient...i was waiting so long for this bikes reviews...i just want to finalize as soon as possible and get ma bike...

      Mileage factor being given too much weight for a Bike like KTM is, I guess too much. This is a lifestyle product, not a Splendor, Platina product.

      You don't go to five star hotels/restaurants & expect same quantity which a dhaba wala gives. You pay for exclusivity & niche.

        We are talking about petrol prices at Rs 73.50 (Hyderabad). There is nothing wrong in considering the Mileage. If you see that the bikes (Pulsar and Duke) in this case, their performance etc. might not be that far apart, the mileage becomes the deciding factor. Of course, there could be a huge price difference. Like Payeng said, wait and watch.

          +1 to that. But IMO, mileage can be "one of the deciding factors" rather than "the only deciding factors". There are so many plus points with KTM than Pulsar NS. Take trellis frame, VERY informative console, USD forks for example...

              I personallly feel we should not compare these two "KTM duke 200 and Pulsar NS"

              If you are looking for some offroading .. strong frame .... good center of gravity ... USD shocks ... slightly bigger disk brake ... naked bike ......

              I don't think we have any other option in india in this budget ...

                    no such drama's here in Bangalore. A bunch of enthusiasts including me were there before sunrise. And then the store opened by 7:30/8:00 - we were all made to write our names on a paper based on who came 1st, 2nd and so on.

                    Then the official tokens were given in the form of printed sheet, where we filled our details, a token # was inscribed on the top of the sheet with a pencil and then the grumblings started, why this number, why me that number blah blah. (this is where I lost out as I had no reason to grumble)

                    Then each one were called into an inside chamber to hand over cash/dd/cc and order booking form was filled, receipts issued. And then people dispersed, more people started flocking, the display bike arrives, everybody mobs it and start manhandling it (everything was allowed except for a TD).

                    And now the wait continues!

                      At Delhi's Vasant Kunj showroom, it was the complete opposite. When I reached at 10:00 am (showroom opening time-confirmed before going), it was completely deserted.

                      No display bike, no powerwear, no powerparts display. Sad situation, on the whole. I was expecting at least a small queue there.

                      Guess it's up to a few kindred souls (including me ) to be KTM brand ambassadors and paint Delhi orange.

                        yes because there is only one bike in Delhi which was initially in Vasant kunj for a day and is now in CP. I was the first one to book the bike there with four other people (i reached there around 8 hence getting the first number) and people were coming in good numbers there. . They were even giving TD's. I took one after booking the bike :P
                        So what did the guy tell you about the deliveries !?
                        When life gives you Yamaha, make it RD350 not R15. :D

                            hi guys, could anyone answer these 2 questions ?

                            1. could the ktm 200 price be increased in a month as we have been told by bajaj that this is only an introductory price ?

                            2. since the ktm is so light in weight , will there be a problem in controlling the bike at high speeds caused by a sudden gust of wind ?

                            ofcourse i have a lot more questions after this !!
                            I prefer riding a slow bike fast rather than a fast bike slow !!

                                Half the time they don't know what they speak. So don't go by them. This price is the Introductory price. Nobody knows what they would be revised to or would they even be revised at all.
