Isn't that a little low when B'lore reported 100+ on very first day?
But, in that case, I guess all of us will be getting the bike in the 1st lot

But I still regret that though I was given the 1st number - "7" - someone wasn't happy and pushed me down the line But that's life!
I called some ten time since jan 24 to see the reaction of PBK attendees regardin the booking and delivery, came to know that there were some hardcore fans who visited on Jan24 with hard cash to book the bike(on the launch date).

It was told to me tat they wil b given higher priority....so on the Feb1st our numbers started after theirs...(guessing )

There couldn't have been harder cores than the bunch of us that started lining up from 5 am on Feb 1. The only one's who got preference over us simple folks would be those in high places/VIP's/ son's n relatives of big politicians/bureaucrats etc

        • Video Reviews

M lil confused as to why there has not been a single video review of the KTM 200, Overdrive and Zigwheels have given full review of the KTM as per their experience when ridden at Chakans race track..

But why not a video review?....

That cant be possible as we were the first ones on the 24th and then on 1st too. When asked why the numbering was from 11 and what happened to the first 10, i was told that they had to take bookings from other regions of karnataka too and so they reserved 10 bikes for those other regions. I don't believe that though. Another answer i got was, 11 was their lucky number. As shubz said, the first 10 are for high profile people.

                  • Just called Pune PBK, TD is not yet available.
Will start from tomorrow, she said...

and guess what, bookings @ Pune is slightly over 80 count... Surprised to see such small no. of bookings in home town of Bajaj...

I feel KTM is not much known to many people except bloggers.... Once the TV ads will start the sales numbers will go much more.....

                        P200NS or Duke 200? Obviously the P200NS.
But 50thAnniversary or P200NS? Totally confused.

I've loved the R15 all these 6 months. Always had plans for this beast, soon after I got transfered. Now settled, and with the R15 also booked, I'm completely lost with the Pulsar man.
Was reading through the thread and found your post. Man, I'm also in the same dilemma. Booked r15 and confused. One more confusion is whether yamaha will reduce the price. If it happens just after I buy it I'll be like
Love the ride, not the destination

                        • Has Bajaj given any start-off date for delivery of the bikes?

I know Sunny has been delivered with the first bike but what about the rest.

That was just a Facebook prank. Sunny is still waiting in line for his bike to be delivered.

The dilemma died ages ago. Spoke to alot of people here. Pulsarmaniacs, ktm fanatics, kwackers, and ofcourse ROne-fivers, almost all seem to have the same opinion that nothing beats the R15. Its my first bike and when i told them this, they were all the more pushy that i choose this and choose it quick.

As for the price tag, Yamaha aint dumb, bro.
                              Think of it like this,
                              Cbr250r, 25 bhp, is 1.62 lacs here.
Ninja 250r, 32.6bhp, was 3.10lacs here. Post Cbr launch its price was hiked to 3.15lacs.
                              Anyone complaining? No!
Ninja is the best 250cc and damn, the whole world knows it.

                              Same with the R15.
That diasil cylinder and deltabox frame dont come cheap. And its the best 150cc in the world.

                              R15 vs Duke200
                              Hot looks vs hot looks
                              insane handling vs insane handling
                              145kmph vs 136kmph
                              1.07lacs vs 1.175lacs
                              40+kmpl vs 30kmpl
                              136kgs vs 123kgs
                              You choose!

The above chart was posted to me by a friend here on xbhp who rides a Ninja and has no interest in either of the 2 bikes. #Third party perspective.

Besides, Duke is strictly for those hardcore enthusiasts with pots of cash to burn some fuel on those weekend getaways of some passionate riding. None of the people booking it in their right senses with be using for city riding, they'll be doing it for city touring, testing its 0-60 every other gap they find in the bumper bumper traffic.
To do that, i can always wait for the Duke350 coming up next year or the Duke200 as my 2nd bike.*wink*
