          Only time will tell...it's too early to say that Duke will kill R15 or CBR.

          In India, we have special liking for fully-faired bikes. Duke "may" look too naked, too colourful, off-roadish to a general biker out there. But for a performance enthusiast, it does offer a lot.

          But I may be a completely wrong. Let's see how this bike does.

          And yes, Bajaj has indeed priced it very well.

              KTM, Pulsars, R15 can't be regarded as Tourers like an Enfield or Avenger because the purpose of the product is different from that of a spcific tourer bike. But people have toured on 220, R15 & CBR, right?

              Pillion seat small? You get saddle bags, right? Saddle bags are most common item bought by a tourer. Even a pillion rider can tour on it provided he/she is given proper break as it's quite cummbersome to sit in that position for long. Ofcourse, here the Enfields & Avengers score the maximum.

              Tank Bag can't be fixed coz the tank is plastic. it can be overlooked. Most guys can carry a bag with light items in it.

              Tank is small which can just give a range of max of 250 kms on highway. I guess, it's pretty ok considering I can refuel in between. Not finding a petrol pump station in 250 kms is a rare chance though (can happen in remotest part of India)

              So why are we outrightly rejecting KTM as tourer??

                  coming back to the duke.r15 sales is the one that's gonna take the most hit.duke is just too good a value for the price.cbr won't be affected as much as thou.cbr has more top speed,pulling power,fairing,mileage and better for touring.some sales of cbr will still go nonetheless.duke=new lord of streets!?hmmm. . damn u yamaha

                      Just imagine, on this day if there are some bikers on road, one with R 15, one with CBR 250, one with ZMR, one with Ninja (can't compare with this one, but..) and then one with KTM 200.. Who will be the center of attraction...???

                        I guess, for those guys ONLY Leh-Laddakh tour comes to mind first when someone says TOURING...
                        Considering tank capacity, it will be hard to find petrol pump every now and then only in such region, but not anywhere else..

                          totally agree with you..even i was huge fan of full faired bike but after seeing this naked babe completely gone mad about the orange beast..btw thinking of going for p220s which i had never imagined in my life..

                              Exactly, even i don't get it!! in fact i think it would be much more fun riding a Duke in the Himalayan terrains than a cbr 250r or a r15! (imagine getting lehd!! )

                              And we do have a 22L tank bag for the duke 200!!

                              And also Tank extensions, though i am not sure whether there are tank extensions for the duke 200 as well.. but hell i am a tourer, i can always carry some extra fuel !!
                              When life gives you Yamaha, make it RD350 not R15. :D

                                For all the given attractions the japs will SMOKE THE EUROPEAN at any given traffic signal......honestly the KTM is in its own league.the styling is like "its not here and its not there"......the price is gr8, too gud actually, lets see how the ownership experience comes as ppl start to buy this bike!!........as far as beauty is concerned i dont think she looks attractive!!!..just my thought!......
