Not sure exactly where. Didn't bother asking. It definitely won't be at Indiranagar showroom. Press will be invited. Plus the usual brass from Bajaj and KTM.

1st bike will be handed over in Peenya. The 2nd and the 3rd will be at the showroom with some fanfare (not sure if it's on the same day). rest probably with a hand shake if we are lucky as and when their due date comes up.

He said that Bangalore will be getting the first delivery in the country (maybe he was boasting or maybe it's true Definitely weather's cooler than in Mumbai or Delhi (maybe cleaner would be appropriate). Maybe they don't want the foreign KTM folks to melt(or get choked))
Forget the fanfare, if they just give us the bike on the 29th, i will be happy. We were the first to book the bike in Bangalore but don't know where we stand in the secret delivery list of theirs.

And first delivery in India, he is got to be joking. Some one in Pune has already got his Duke and he will be going on a week long tour tomorrow.

Hoping to get the bike on the 29th without any further hassles or delays.

That is the lamest excuse/reason i have ever heard!!

They are saying as if the bike hits the topspeed within a fraction of second taking the rider for a surprise.

Maybe not a "Fraction of a second" but the 200 Duke definitely hits high speed figures quite fast. Thanks to its ultra light body and short gearing the 200 Duke feels "Explosive" from Gear 1 to Gear 6 all the way to its redline (which is pretty easy to hit).

But yes don't expect low rpm torque like on a Long stroke Royal Enfield, this is a short stroke bike.. just twist the right writst and let the short gearing do the rest.

I also got my bike at KTM South Delhi today.
Rode it back about 20km, and my face has been like "" since then.
Pics and first impressions will be up on the ownership thread soon.

            • Thank you guys!
it has been great. I have driven it 45 kms till now. The best part is I do not feel like getting off it. So well balanced, I might not be the best one to review it though because the last bike I had was an RX100 and was out of the country for 5yrs.

@Abhishek2255 waiting for you to get yours tomorrow, I am sure you will love it.

                  • i am put off , 200 duke

this looks like a dirt bike, i will be at embrace if i ride in the city. bike does not have appeal. looks wise nowhere matches R15 or FZ16. does not have finishing. if u put R15 and duke side by side R15 looks so yummy looks sexy just feels like to drove it away immediety. i had duke test drive, it has good pickup and feels very light(meets my expectations since i am RX135 rider), i see lot of drawbacks in this bike. i see my self as stunt man or a circus boy riding this bike, it is just looks single seater dirt bike. nothing in the backside, tail lamp ends at half of the back wheel and that mud gaurd fails to cover ass of the bike. other concern is mileage it is reported 15-20kmpl for rash drives,if that is the case i prefer RD. company itself saying it is unstable, has rev limter where has yamaha has giving racing kits for R15 or FZ16,lol. decide to wait for GTR250 or VTR250 (ok even it is 50-60k more)or version 2 or 200ns also ok.

Did you face any issues like chain noise or other vibrations from the front fibre (which other user from Mumbai faces)?

Can't comment on the chain noise, I mean I didn't notice anything peculiar.
Maybe a little lube spray can help?

Pardon my limited vocabulary, but, what is a front fibre?
