running in is 4k rpm till 800 kms and 6k rpm till 1600 kms....
so gotta keep the beast in control....
ride is smooth...great power delivery all across the band...
exhaust note is not what you would expect out of a 650cc engine... beyond 6k rpm cant say..not allowed to go there for the stipulated kms.....
can always think about the louder after market options....brands are plenty....voiding warranty is the issue that could come in though....
maintenance cant say would be very cheap...asked the bajaj-kawasaki engineer present at time of delivery...a service interval of 6months and all paid. cost 3500/- in delhi...may vary in other places...not that cheap...but frankly not that expensive too....

the color is stuff of dreams trust me.....you cant do justice in pictures..it is damn amazing....it really shines out anywhere....

update on triumph....any and all operations have been delayed by a good 6 months...there india operations head has quit and they have not found a replacement for him...it was in HT business a few days back....prices going up i have no clue about that....

by the way next update on deliveries is diwali for the next lot of people who order now...

Long story short.. Not wanting to take a chance with my luck (52 people at PBK today for 6 bikes ) plus was out of town and could not go, I booked the bike in Mangalore, and it has arrived at showroom today will be going down there coming weekend and riding back. A few friends (GT650N and Duke, maybe MT01)joining me so should be good ride through the ghats. Bike has gone for PDI today and I can pick it up anytime from Monday..now just cant wait.

Feels really good after the year long wait to get my hands on one, will update pics of delivery and ride once I pick up the bike.

Just like Victorz, I didn't want to take chances with the lucky dip. So, I had booked a bike elsewhere. But I did try the lucky dip and won. I have a ready allotted bike to give. Anyone wants one call me quick 9886659548.

Went down to PBK to see the bike ... O MAN! I just stood there and grinned like an idiot for 10 mins ... It is awesome, beefy big, shorter than in pics, the finish is superb. I wanted to hug it.

One of the guys came over and was trying to explain the bike and I was like no thanks ... Already have one! , couldn't believe it I actually do..Now just can't wait to get the bike.

My trip of this weekend has been postponed as the RTO certificate for this lot of bike in karnataka has not come so next week now

Finally Goa got its first 2012 N650, scheduled for delivery tomorrow!!

Congrats for all the others who have got their Ninjas.

I have only had 2 chances to ride it yet (been out of town).

Yesterday, when I was going to take it out, I noticed the front tyre is flat - I think it was flat the last time I took it out as it felt really heavy on slow speeds.

So, what do I do now? I have no idea on how to proceed - do I have to drag it out a petrol station? and would those guys know how to detach the tyre from the ninja (this gives me the shivers).

Also, should I just get it patched or buy a new tyre. If I am going to buy a new tyre, then where should I buy it from?

I am so frustrated right now.

Also, the Ninja runs really hot - driving from Delhi to Gurgaon, i was sweating in my jeans.

In Ninja its tubeless tyres right? then any roadside mechanic will be able to fix it no need to detach the tyres from the machine....

just get it repaired like a normal tyre...
